Assault?
There is a long tradition in Australia of ‘egging’ politicians when they display motives that go contrary to the Australian community.
Do I condone it? More than inciting violence against innocent people.

Yeah, it's classed as a common assault. Tradition isn't a justification for assaulting people with opposing views.
