I prefer the middle in the hills and when possible on top of it. Just to the north of Ibiza city in the hills also great places to stay. Very central to everything. Long time ago stayed a couple of times to the south western side, cala garbo. Very nice area, but long way away from everything. When you like good food and want to know great lunch place, La Paloma I can recommend. It is organic food, so delicious, and super place to hang out in the early afternoon. Know many more good places to eat if you are interested.

Ow, but Paloma is perfect for small children. It is in the hills, very quite area and there are more children there. Very much like hanging out in a garden (http://palomaibiza.com/?page_id=8530).
