My eyes are wide open and itch from the tears that flows. Before the flag, I pledge allegiance while placing my hand upon my heart. But today is no longer like before as we watch our freedom falling apart. No longer free to soar the skies of blue Or leisurely walk to collect our mail. Bombs now planted everywhere. I ask where, did our country fail?, Did we give to others way too much, Industrial Revolution, the great need for oil, Protecting our interest both here and abroad. Send our soldiers to die in a war for the cause, or is it ourselves that we thus defraud? We have memorized Nigeria how it was born and who we have been and where. In ceremonies and silence we say the words, telling the stories, singing the old songs. We like the places they take us. Mostly we do. The great and all the anonymous deed are there. We know the sound of all the sounds it brought. But how do we fashion the future? Who can say how except in the minds of those who we call it Now "The children", and how does our garden grow? With waving hands—oh, rarely in a row— and flowering faces, and brambles!. Our educational sector is in a state of collapse, Who were many people coming together cannot become one people falling apart! and we say we have grown-yea!, and how have we grown?, degree by slow degree, believing ourselves toward all we have tried to become— just and compassionate, equal, able, and free. All this in the hands of children, and yet how do we tend them,—letting them roam the streets, education kept from their reach, starving without adequate shelter, how can they lead when when they lack what is needed to lead!. those on-top struggle for power and means and let crumbs fall to those who will care to heed their lead. We shouldn't let ignorance spread itself like rot, its a wake up call for all to get involved, be heard its a right! I'm not a member of any organized political party or sect, I'm a Democrat.#Arise o compatriots!#Naija_Stand_up!!#stand_up_steemians!!!

"we shouldn´t let ignorance spread anywhere", I believe
It may be inconvenient for people to be told to stop being ignorant but do so nevertheless :)
