I am of the opinion that all men were born with difference in their personality matrix, these difference which make some almost faultlessly good while some seem like the devil could learn a thing or two from them.
In biology, we were made to believe that the performance of an offspring largely depended on his genetic makeup and his environment. How then do you expect an individual who comes from a hostile background to be totally gentle? People often compare themselves with others and sometimes compare certain people with others without realizing that no two individuals are expected to behave the same way.
An individual might be misunderstood and underperform because unrealistic expectations might have been set for such a person due to the belief the everyone must conform to a general rule. What some also fail to get is that although certain societies or places require a certain level of standard to belong, but that is the reason why everyone cannot belong to such category: we are not the same.
To further illustrate, do you know why some people like soccer while other might prefer porn and some will opt for porn? It is because we have these differences in our personality matrix. Even Biblically, the Israelites were asked to “choose this day whom YOU will serve” because it was evident each man is responsible for his conduct and should never be forcefully coerced into following a certain path.
We are not the same thing. Two men might train the same amount of hours for an event, yet one will lose. Two individuals might read for the same amount of hours yet one will excel more than the other, it is because of the differences I have pinpointed from the very beginning if my post.
These differences do not mean certain individuals cannot excel, it means they have to put in extra effort, conscious effort to be on top of their game. I knew of a child who had difficulties learning, the child found the whole learning experience terrible because frustration, beating and the insults were his regular customers because of his learning disadvantage. The parents wanted to give up on the child, I asked them to put in extra efforts for the child by getting a tutor and encouraging the child to see the fun in studying.
Of course the growth magic didn’t just happen overnight , but with consistency, the child eventually picked up and right now the child is doing fine. The point there is never expect others to conform to a so called general standard. People will eventually get it or get there, just not how you would expect it.
I remember a time in Nigeria where being predominantly left handed was considered a defect…lol. Understand that no two fingers are equal and respect that.

The world will be a great place if people can understand that diverty makes the world go round.
There is no standard, once someone actions or inactions or difference is not causing anyone harm.
no two fingers are equal, no two fingerprint are exactly the same, so has every individual with his own talent and ability. People should understand this things. Great post @ehiboss
INDIVIDUALITY IS A FACT OF LIFE
No matter how much we try, we are not the same. As the saying goes : 'all fingers are not equal.'
But we must respect our individuality!
I love this: Steem on....
I can't agree less, we all as humans are not the same, even siblings born of the same parents don't behave the same, but in our complexity, we have to maintain one united goal, to be great and do well in whatever way of life we choose.
It's a shop for the poor people,
I am left handed and i remember quite well how much punishment it took for me to stop eating with my left hand.
Until present, i still write, play soccer and do most stuff with my left hand except eating.
People cannot be the same. Even identical twins are not the same. Society, family, education, psychology, religion, and more influence the way we perceive the world and our perception determines how we react to it.
Thank you for this @ehiboss. Peace.
And, even identical twins are different in some ways........ That's a fact
True stuff, the left handed thing. Have a friend, says he was born left handed, then i ask how come he writes with his right. His reply was his teachers made sure he learned to use his right instead through beatings and punishments, and his parents said nothing about it. Thing is we conform to things already considered as norm in the society and disprove things we do not understand.
In some parts, you can't even give an elder a thing with your left hand. It is considered an insult, like the left hand is a bad omen. Then one wonders its use at all, if its a bad omen.
Da Vinci could paint with both hands, could write as well with both and he was a genius. Our societies need to be purged of traditions that are not progressive.
Oh yes. In fact, i consider the fact that am a lefty to be a blessing. It makes me stand out, unique. I thank God that i had teachers who didn't care about which hand i wrote with.
It is more than tradition, it is accepted as correct that right is right and left is wrong.
Have you not the words that if you drop something with your left hand it is forgotten?
Woah, right now i wish some left handed fella would drop sbds with their left hands on my post :p
Haha, funny stuff. It is up to us leave these ways behind, and embrace that which is progressive
What I tell people is that the easiest way to be discouraged in life is to start comparing yourself with others. We operate on different time zones, therefore it's important to concentrate on building your own life than measure where you currently stand by the achievements of others.
We're not the same, and I totally agree with you.
This is so true. People do it all the time and it does more harm than good. It's better when one focuses on his/her journey.
Thanks for the inspiration!
Definitely, we are different. We have different faces and races. We even come from different places. We have different interest and attitude. That's what make us all unique. It is to save us all from boredom. Well written brother.
It's called individual differences, where one fails another can succeed and not everybody that starts a race at the same time do end it at same time but one should have a set goal and target, it might take time to accomplish but one must surely get there someday. It is better to try than not to try atall. Thanks for sharing.
Every man is created with a unique identity. In order to excel, we need to find what we are really created for and serve it to the world.
The physical traits that you really possess is much affected by Genetics. There is a slim chance that you will be tall if both of your parents are short. (unless there is a bloodline in either side of a tall trait) Environment on the other hand, would influence the behavior, mindset and attitude of the individual.
The difference between two individuals might create conflict but that is part of the sociological theory that shaped us. Even so, we still have to understand that we have different time-frames for growth. He might be CEO at age 27 but died at 30. The other guy might be CEO at 70. Everyone has their own timeline. This must not trample the idea that he is "first" if the success is achieved earlier. This is definitely not that basis.
Everyone has the capacity to learn. It is up to the individual how and what it takes. It takes the same boiling water to harden the egg and soften the potato. It is not always the circumstance, it is what you are made of.
Comparison has been a very detrimental tool amongst ourselves
Let's try to understand from their point of view and experience in life before they can be like anyone else.
Nice post!
Wow, well said.
No two persons are the same, even twins dont act the same. But we should all trt to the the good sides of every person.
Thanks for sharing @ehiboss
The only time we can allow people unleash their utmost potential is when we notice their differences and allow them to flourish in those differences.
Especially has children.
Well done @ehiboss
We are so unique in our different ways, that is why everyone is so valuable and have something to offer.
Just as you said in your post... No fingers are equal.
Nice post brotherly.
I'm glad that we aren't all the same, imagine how boring the world would be.
Once we realize this, it can be freeing. It will allow you to pursue your hearts desires.
The worst days of my life are the days I wished to be like others. I wished I was like the best students in class. I wished looked like someone else. I wished I was born into another family.
My life was indeed messed up then. But now I only want to be me.
