THE MAN IN THE MIRROR

in #life7 years ago

We look into the ugly mirror of reality, the pictures seem pale and blurred; we hardly believe what we see and we often shy off from reality. We are scared of the biter truth , we have failed ourselves , we have failed others too; those who had hopes and believed in us, we have not become the people we dreamed we would be, we have lived lives contrary to what was expected of us.

Each time we see ourselves we get disappointed, we hate ourselves. Behind us a small voice whispers in our ears and tells us we can still work on ourselves. We cannot undo our mistakes or the past, but if we wish we can better the future, utilizing the only resource we have which is the present and taking into account the most precious asset we have which is time.

There is reason to hope, reason to hold on even when there seems nothing left to hold on to.
Somehow you’re broken. Pick up the pieces and try and put them together again. It shouldn’t matter how many times you have fallen or how many more times you will fall. It should matter more how many times you will get up, there lies your strength.

Don’t waste your time looking back. Even the greatest scriptures ever written tell us that he who holds aplough and looks back is not worth Gods kingdom!! Its painful truth you can heal the wounds of the past but not the scars. But scars matter; they should remind us that we ought to be careful not to hurt ourselves again, never to expose ourselves to injury.

Don’t give up, never get tired of trying. Doors may be closed before you. Everything seems to be falling apart, but it’s not, it’s all falling into place. Be strong and courageous. You will walk over scorpions and serpents and not be hurt. Your future is bright and if only you hold on through the night you will see a brighter day, you will sing a new song of victory.
One day, someday, somewhere you will tell your own story barely believing your own words; that you rose from grass to grace!!

Sometimes it all seems hopeless. Trying to forgive your mistakes and trying to be happy seems like chasing shadows. Sometimes it all seems dark. But also I know somehow that only when it’s dark enough can one clearly see the stars. You’re not the first who is been on that road. Many have walked on the same road your on and made it home, may be not to their preferred destinations but at least somewhere. Life is a long journey; we cannot finish it; we die walking and even in death we stay walking. If someone passed that hard way and made it you will probably make it too.
Fall in love with the man in the mirror. Smile to him, don’t hate him. That man, that woman is you and your beautiful!!
