It’s beginning to feel like a New Year

Today I wrote "2024" for the first time. Yup, it took 4 days this year to materialize the start of a new year. I’ve always romanticized these little moments—starting a diary, resolutions, bucket lists and more. This year, I’ve been with my nephews and family that I almost lost sense of time. Off course there were Christmas and New year festivities to remind the passing of time.

However, I feel, infants are experts in creating another world for us to lose track of everything that define us. My youngest nephew is turning one this year and the younger would be three years old. I don’t think anyone can make me feel so special like the three of them.

It’s also easy to get lost in all that love and laughter. I haven’t touched my gadgets or executed my plans after coming home. So, today, finally, I started taking my time out and be alone. Plus, it just started raining. Kerala doesn’t really have winter season like other places. It’s hot during the day time with ~30 degree Celsius. This rain was totally unexpected (or, I’ve not checked the weather forecast at all) and it feels amazing.

With that being said, I'm yet to create my goals and journal for the year. I love having all my thoughts, dreams and bucket lists written down. Well, 2024 already feels different and passing by real quick.

Here’s to a great year that passed and an amazing one ahead. I wish you all a Happy and Healthy New Year!
