Rainy, lazy and almost depressing May brought us sunny, positive, and almost too warm June days. It's just so amazing. When we wake up, a clear sky is waiting for us, when we go to bed, a warm breeze tucks us in.
It's really hard to be in a bad mood when so many beautiful colors are around us.
In the time I was absent from Steemit, and when we were outside, I was able to also be productive in the kitchen. In this time I made two pastries and two cakes. The last one I made yesterday for my partner's mother who celebrated her birthday today.
And even though, it looks like a big pile of heavy, sweet whipped cream it's not. I used light mascarpone cheeses, with a bit of vanilla extract for flavor. Also, the center isn't what it was in the previous ones (Nutella and bananas), but I used the canned fruits to make it fresh for the summer we are having.

But I really have to stop posting food posts in the evenings... They make me hungry, even though I know I am not.
Today I will call it a night, and I will try to get some rest before tomorrow. A busy day at work, then picking some hay which was almost ready today, and then last-minute browsing on the web for our this year's summer holidays. Believe it or not, it's only a good month before my time off, and we still don't have a clue where we will go.
We are juggling some options, but we can't decide. Not a lot of budget-friendly options remained, so we need to think it through thoroughly. I will try to write about this process, which occupied my evenings during the absence in my next post. But enough for tonight.
Have a pleasant week, and wish me luck, that I will survive the warmest day of this week, which will apparently be tomorrow.

TrufflePigI am glad that you finally have sunny days, it seems like it took initially longer for summer to come but then it is quite quick jump to warm sunny weather. I love exactly this period because I know that we still have plenty of summer, but the same time I am aware that after that we will have winter back.

We really waited way too long for the sun to warm us up... And hopefully, it will stay warmer for a while. Such weather is really affecting our behavior more than we know. Everybody is generally happier and more content. I hope you also manage to find the time to go out and recharge. 😊
Btw the party was in the close family circle. But it was nice. The cake disappeared in no time which makes me happy everytime. 😉
