HOW TO FIGHT OFF THE URGE TO QUIT IN PURSUING YOUR DREAM.

Sometimes you feel like giving up on or quitting an objective, job, a task.
This desire of quitting is caused by many different things. It could be that
you are fed up, feel you are not rewarded well enough or feel like there is
no sign of development in future. This write up is not implying that giving
up or quitting is wrong but it shouldn't be the first reaction when you
face or meet challenges.

Quitting or giving up on a task in achieving your dream in the midway is
not the only alternative available to you when you face such situation.
So when the want to quit tries to overcome you, you can try the following
useful tips:

1.Divert you mind

When we feel like quitting we tend to only focus on why we should
quite, why that idea or job is not working out, and all other negative
things. We do this and block out most other things. Creating a
diversion for your mind can help reduce the urge to quit. Put your
mind to other things, make other plans, and look at the other parts
of your life that you can spend time developing. You can use the type
brush up old contacts, work on your body by hitting the gym, going
for shopping or going on a vacation. This is akin to tricking the mind
into focusing on positive things rather than concentrating on a

Applying the above tip sometimes helps you a lot when the desire
to quite is so high. Involving yourself in the fitness challenge, going
for shopping or going on vacation most at times takes away your
concentration from this stressful situation.

2.Push Yourself
You encouraging your own self is a positive defensive to desiring to quite.
You inspiring yourself not to give up on your dream in spite of all the
challenges you are encountering is a powerful booster to strengthen
your mind positivity.

3.Look up to people who will inspire you.
Apart from you motivating yourself, you can also seek inspiration from
other people. Look for mentors you will look up to, and learn from them.
Their inspired stories will keep you on track when you are at the point
of giving up.

4.Reframe your thought
Ask yourself why you want to give up on your dream when you are about
to quit. You have the power to force your inner capabilities to reach that
unexpected dream. It is a matter of developing a positive mind set.
Whatever you think in this universe reflects back to you. So when you
have positive mindset it reflects back to you and vice versa.

5.Make realistic goals.
Most at times you are not able to complete that task in achieving your
goal because it is not realistic judging by the state of things.
Make a small achievable target of goal which you think is possible and
when you are through with it, then you advance to the next one.

6.Don't put yourself under undue pressure
Accept that there are certain things that are beyond your control.
Accept this in good faith and expand your strength on those that are
within your control. Doing this reduces the pressure and the risk of
failing.

Lots of good advice. It is easy to lose faith and give up.

However, I am always a little wary of absolute positivity. Yes, it's important that we don't give up when we hit a bump in the road, and yes, persisting when things get difficult can often be the way to go. But if we are blindly positive, we can miss warning signs and make mistakes.

To me, it is all about finding that balance - and sometimes, realising that the game is up and it is time to move on is the right move.
