"Entrepreneurs are always portrayed as people laying on the beach sipping delicious drinks." Haha, yes, yes, yes. Entrepreneurs are either super poor or super busy! :)
To be successful as a ONE PERSON company is a lot of work. Like a lot! And I am talking about legitimate work, not drug-dealing, scheming and other roads to easy-peasy money.
"I work over 12 hours a day seven days a week." - it is EXACTLY like that and many entrepreneurs (or self-employed people) actually work twice as hard as the regular 9-5 job holders, many times to find themselves in less favorable financial situation. Gotta pay your own taxes, gotta pay your own insurance, for many things you are on ... well.. your own. You may be free when other people (your friends) work, you may be busy when other people are free. And you never have a good rest, always thinking about business, how to improve, how to sustain, how to.. 24/7.
Vacations are nice, but for the one-person-company they can be a hassle. Lots of stuff can happen when you are gone. Your business, your baby. It's usually when you go on vacation, even when you have your "babysitter" in place, your mind goes to it one way or another.
Hope you have a good and restful one!
