Today I'm gonna share some talented art by the wonderful make up artist Noeleen Cunnigham which she did on me during her graduation which skyrocketed her career.
Noeleen was studying at the LA Makeup Academy in Dublin and she was one of the best artists I've seen in her course. The course only lasted a few months and they did different looks such as special effects makeup, aging makeup, fashion and other basic looks. For their graduation they needed to do a character look which they could design themselves or take an idea from a film.
The creative person that she is, she decided to do the mad hatter from Alice in Wonderland!
When she asked me if I wanted to model for her, I instantly said Yes! as I love the mad hatter's personality and can associate it with myself at times.
I wanted to do something different as I always did just girly and fashion shoots. I wanted to look so different that no one would recognize me and I knew Noeleen was the person who could do it. She put fluffy hairs on my eyebrows with glue and added some purple and pink eye shadow on my eyes. I only had pink contact lenses so I decided to put them on rather than the green to make my eyes look crazy. She also added some black chalk to my teeth to create that effect of the tooth gap that the hatter has.
The whole costume was created by her by different separate pieces put together.
For the graduation we also had to do a fashion show
Noeleen prepped some props and she told me to pretend I am the hatter for the day...I must say I thought I did a pretty good job under the nerves of everyone taking photos of me and the whole lot of famous artists and stylist being there!
The show featured many other models dresses as the Black Swan , Geisha's , Super Woman and more!
It was a fun and interesting experience to see how everyone changed.
Noeleen got her degree and to this day she works in a makeup company that she's very happy with. She had many jobs with clothing brands and I even worked along side her for one of the shoots which I worked for a client without knowing she will be there too! It was amazing to work with her again.
That is how I become the Mad Hatter for a day!

Yes it was amazing!! haha would love to , I actually wanted to walk around with it more but she needed the hair and everything back in case of future looks :P
