Pick the Right One

There are things in life that no-one wants to do and doing them alone is even worse. I am glad, I am here for my wife and that she is holding up amazingly well with what life has thrown at her on top of all the lives I have thrown in her. I know, I would be completely lost without her, so I do whatever, whenever she needs me often without her realizing I do. That is what our life is about.

We have had many ups and downs. That is a part of anyone's life but we choose to push through these challenges together and always come out of the other side stronger and wiser. We are partners in crime, life and parenting. We rarely agree on the minor things, I enjoy that, we always have something to bug the other one about. We have a lot of fun together by ourselves, together and with the kids. We have our lazy days where we want the other one to do everything while one of us just does nothing but that rarely happens in a house of our size.

Nothing in life has the power to destroy you. It is a long game for all of us, the best advice I can give anyone is marry for love and be honest if anything changes. We all grow differently as the year's pass, we experience the exact same event differently and everything changes.

Here are some video and still clips I threw together from our trip yesterday. Neither of us wanted to make this trip and neither did the baby but we did. It was painful, annoying and basically a shit thing to have to do all around for anyone. Together with our newest life in the family we pulled together and got phase one done. We will push through this like anything else we have faced in our lives. We have the best team to conquer our problems with, do you have yours?

Work on building one if you don't, they are an invaluable asset to have in life.

This video would have been very awkward to post on steemit if @imaginedragon was not a part of our community as well and we had not already shared as much about our lives as we do with all of you.

I still would have made it and shared it but now I get something extra to laugh about with her as we grow older together. That is the real key; learn to laugh at yourself, at each other and together..........no matter how hard life is or what get's thrown at you.

What? No sound FX credit for baby Finn?

That would have been too damn funny to put. I will keep that in mind for the next trip, lol.

You guys are fucking adorable! And Finn hung there pretty nicely too. I feel him, I hate montains and hills too, hurts my ears :(

The ears were bothering both of them. I kept yawning, so I never noticed. Next trip we are going to rent something a little better for gas and hugging the mountains at high speeds. Driving a full-size van all the way didn't help with the leaning and swaying too much either.

Thank you for sharing your trip with us. I know it was no joy ride for you guys, but I would really love a road trip through views like that, West Virginia looks beautiful. But please, next time you do a video, keep your damn phone horizontal! 😝

You are welcome, we always take pictures but this time I did some video to lighten the mood. There were many more segments I thought the record button was on and had her laughing at some really dumb shit but realized too late it didn't record.
If you drive through the mountains try to get a low sitting sports car as a rental. It makes it a much better trip.
Yeah, I realize that now. I could always just take the DLR too and film it like that.

I'm surprised you guys didn't destroy the stereo after an hour or so of driving. I can't listen to the radio for more than 7 or 8 minutes, lol. I'd bring a portable power bank with you and just play an audiobook or podcast or some music you actually enjoy on your phone next time, bud.

Also, I kinda feel bad it took me like 20 minutes to see your text message about those roads now, lol. I didn't know you were legit lost.

I just need something playing while I drive. I kept throwing on classical, so I knew what the music would be like for a set amount of time. She wasn't having it so we scanned every few minutes catching a good song here and there. Once we got to the last 70 miles there was one station, period.
Never really thought about doing an audiobook, that's not a bad idea.

It would not have mattered if you texted directly back, I did not see the reply until well after we left and the cells started working again, lol.

Yeah, Tristin and I usually listen to a specific Podcast when we take long trips. I'll mix in an audiobook or two as well, really helps pass the time along on trips for sure. I think you can get a free audiobook of your choice with audible if you sign up with a promo code or have Amazon Prime.

Well, that makes me feel a bit better then, haha. That kind of stuff makes me consider trying to find a used satellite GPS device for long trips in case we need it.

We do have prime, I will check it out.

We have the Samsung S9+ and it doesn't have that feature to switch to satellite. My old Blackberry did and if it had not broke I would honestly still have that phone as it ALWAYS worked. Underground up to six floors at work in DC and in the mountains as well.

Happy to see such a positive outlookfrom you. Really, many are simply overwhelmed by the sheer bult of perceived challenges such as marriage and raising children and stuff like that. But with better appraisal and insight, we begin to understand life and our immediate situation. Making the best out of our situationis a rare but invaluable skill that can get us to great distances in life. Thanks @erodedthoughts for being an inspiration

I am getting too old and more aware that life goes on. I try to focus on what we have and enjoy what can be enjoyed. I still get upset and down but there is too much life within our walls to stay to low for too long. Everything still hurts and there is always more to come, the bad sucks but the good is so much better if you let it be.

My dog looked around when he heard the baby crying.
You look younger than I expected.
Glad you guys made it safely.

Dogs are very good at picking up discomfort through sound. They are normally very good with babies as well. Smart dog.
I am really not that old :P I have just grown a beard and the family doesn't want me to shave it. I look like I am 5 without it, lol.
I am glad too, we now know what to expect and can adjust our next few trips up that we have to do.

I was here for the views but it is so good to know you curse even in real life lol!

I love that Baby Finn made his presence known and you are younger than I thought... More life to you and yours old friend.

Fuck is my favorite word, lol.
I am only white-haired due to medications and pain. I should not have gray hair yet.

I am sorry about your pain.

Thank you, much easier to have physical pain than mental pain. So it could be worse, so for that I am thankful.

Life must go on and we all have unpleasant obligations. Thanks for sharing.
