I’m utilizing this extra time I have while I’m sitting in a car with a chauffeur (my little brother) and typing up a fast post for you guys. I’m heading back to the city after five full days in the countryside.
I’ve spend almost all day out with my camera, taking in as much of the amazing winter weather as I can. It’s been -20 degrees Celsius (-4F) and sunny until this point, now it’s snowing again and getting dark already.
I started the day with taking a timelapse of the sunrise through a dirty window, so I have to see if that is usable at all :D I didn’t want to freeze up my camera and the battery because I needed it for the rest of the day too.
We ran some errands with dad and while he was on the phone, I took pictures of someones horses that were out chilling too.
When we came back I headed to the forest and roamed around with my camera, at times waist deep in snow, so much fun!
The pictures in this post are taken with the iPhone 7 plus. I wanted to take some self portaits at the end of the day but my camera refused to connect to the remote and my phone, I guess it was just too frozen already.
I haven’t desided what I’m going to share to you tonight but it’s going to be something snowy, hope you like that!
If you didn’t already guess, the point of these two pictures are the snowflakes that landed on the camera, look how pretty!
This is so awesome. I love it.
magical snow land :) I've upvoted and follow you~~
"-20 degrees Celsius" - Americans won't understand what this strange Celsius thing is XD
I fixed it for Americans, better? :D
Yes, I really appreciated that, we really have no idea what Celsius is.
<0 Celsius - water turns to ice
0-100 - water is liquid
100< - water turns to steam
Now you know
I know all that but at the same time it is meaningless to me when someone uses a temperature in between, I would have to look it up. is 20 Celsius warm or cold, I have no idea without looking it up.
Hey, i'm not american so it's fine by me xD -20 is really cold! the coldest i get in my city is 0 to -5, and that´s on a really bad winter... well in the summer i get 40-50 C everyday, u guys probably don´t get that temperature in the summer
I didn’t know it gets that hot in Portugal! We might get 28 degrees if it’s a really good summer :D
You northern europeans always toast in my country xD the average in portugal is about 25-28, my city is one of the hottest, and the weather is very dry so it looks even hotter, and every year it gets worse (global warming and everything) back in 2011 a heat wave would put my city at 40 degrees, now that's around the normal temperature during the summer...
BTW just checked your old photos, was not expecting NSFW art 😲😲
I was in Lisbon few moths ago (you might have seen that if you scrolled far enough) and I would love to visit Portugal when it's warmer :D What city do you live in?
Haha and sorry if I scared you xD
Didn't scroll far enough, need to search for it, I live in Evora, nothing to do here in the summer so i mostly go to algarve in the summer, get some tan on the beach so i don't look as white as a Fin... Norwegian 😂
Scared? Quite the contrary 😊
-20 degrees! unbelievable. -1 freezing cold when we are in Turkiye!
be careful and not be sick. ! you shared very sweet photos. I loved !
I’m never sick (knocks on wood) :D Thanks!
Ah you do have it as well (knock on wood), to fend of the bad eye
At the moment in Kaunas we have plenty of snow as well but not so cold -8 degrees Celsius.
That’s pretty mild :)
Wow nice winter movements its so lovely
Nice camera. beautiful shots.
Pretty! 😊
Here in Albania the temperature is 10 degrees Celsius and no snow. It is cold for us
I love the snow.
Thanks for your post, for sharing your experience with us.
good job~~ @eveuncovered
Great shots of the snowflakes!
I live 1 degree North of the Equator. We've had quite a bit of rain since the start of the year. Last week the the temperature had fallen to 22C - the lowest in 10 years. Now the temperture is back to the usual - ranging between 24C and 30C with high humidity of 80%.
I've been relishing all the postings featuring winter photos. We did not do our usual trip to Europe around Christmas. We have 2 new fur kids at home - a 6 month old kitten and a 4 month old puppy.
I look forward to experiencing winter at the end of this year.
Where do you usually go on your trips to Europe?
I'm heading to Thailand in a month and I have no idea how it feels having temperatures of 30C with high humidity, but I can't wait! :D
Those are some fairytale perfect snowflakes.
The weather here in the UK is pretty grey and miserable (as always). Nothing much changes here in that respect.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you managed to capture! :)
Haha I know, I've been to London three times and it's always dreary xD
It's damp & foggy in California, and we're at balmy 8º C compared to -20º C. I like the snowflake on the lens.
It doesn't get much colder than in there, right?
The lows are usually around 2º-4ºC but can go negative. If we want winterland, in California, we go to mountains.
Wow a really cool camera to spend time looking for objects
Those snowflakes on your camera look amazing! Crazy how it just settled like that, good on you for getting out in the cold and taking photos!
I spent half the day gazing at snowflakes, wishing I had a macro lens :D
I bet, I don't think I've ever seen snowflakes that size that are so well formed! Time to invest in a Macro!!
I live in Ontario, and the winter can be really cold. Around New Years day it was -27 Celcius (-16 F).
Yesterday it was raining all day with a temperature of -1 C (30 F), so a lot of ice an difficult drive
Hi to Ontario, I have relatives living in there. Probably moved there because it's pretty similar to Finland :D
Love those little snow flakes. need a macro to shoot! Weather here is the same as yours ....cold and snowy :)
Here in Romania the weather is similar, kinda snowy but not that freezy it's just about -5 * Celsius. I really think we should all spend some time now and then with the family and out of this social media bubble !
Nice post, @eveunconvered! 👍
One day I wish to visit finland or norway.just to enjoy Aurora Borealis
It looks super cold but you look amazing!!! Stay warm :)
The snowflakes are pretty but you are making them melt :)) love your eyes so much,I really wonder how they look in real life.
In my country there is a lot of snow , at least where I am staying now. In other parts of my country there is still pretty warm without any sign of snow, as at my cat house :D
Let's make up a new game, try to fit your cat into every conversation we have! :D
Does it bother you? :D
No, it's just funny that you are a crazy cat lady ;D
Ha, I wasn't ready for that one :)) I am just an ex cat owner, okay?
wawoow gud post and yeah u have utilized it through steemit thanxs to steemit and thanxs to u too for such a beautiful post and u got a new follower!
It’s cold for Southern California standards/ 45 degrees. Can’t complain right? 🙈
Your pictures are super beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
You make the cold look cozy! 😁 It will be 56 degrees and partly cloudy in my part of the world (northern CA).
You're so so so beautiful. I really think YOU ARE so you've caught my eyes.
How many degrees does the battery freeze up?
I am using Gopro and I am one of the new steemian. I am contributing #goprophotography in steemit. You can check and maybe support me :)
that details are so beautiful I swear to god that I thought it was photoshop until I read it all :O
Beautiful
Those pics are really making me wish it was snowing here in Ireland. Then I remembered I'm a complete wuss with the cold.
perfect little snowflakes :)
There perfecg snow flakes. Weather in North England is cold and wet (have some lovely snow at weekend though, minimal to your standards). Getting warmer and lighter now yipeeee 💯🐒
Interesting country ) I like travelling) I think in this year I will visit this country)
I wish we had so much snow here in Croatia :( great post!
Those snowflakes ❤❤❤
Quite magical, aren't they? :)
It's difficult for a mind to comprehend to how magically they appear out of thin air - our nature is wonderful :)
Thanks for sharing those.
Here in my country I never witness weather condition less than 10 degrees. I don't think I can survive in -20 degrees temperature. How did you survive this type of weather condition? @eveuncovered
I am in love with those snowflakes! Hail iPhone7 plus

The snowflakes make this. they look perfect
