My counselor asked me one time to think about things that I need in my life. She gave me a sheet that had a big list of qualities and aspects to mark down some of my top items. As you probably guessed, "Adventure" was one of the ones in my top list.
So what does adventure mean? To me this is NOT the stereotypical Indiana Jones adventure people think of. There's so many things that fall into this idea of adventure. If you google the definition of adventure, you see "an unusual and exciting, typically hazardous, experience or activity." Overall, this is definitely what I think of, and it applies to so many things.
One of the things I love about adventure is the concept of experiencing something new. I'd consider new experiences to be adventure for sure. For example, if I go to a new Indian restaurant and I'm eating sitting on the floor, this is a new experience and an adventure.
The concept of adventure typically makes me enjoy experiences a bit more as I know I enjoy trying new things that might be different and sometimes out of my comfort zone (and occasionally potentially hazardous). Quite often, we might be in uncomfortable situations, but just remember everything is an adventure. Life is an adventure.
Currently, my recent employment project ended, so I'm on the hunt for the next opportunity. This is definitely an adventure. It's unknown, it's exciting, and there's a potential for something great until I find what I love. As much as I don't like being unemployed, I enjoy the adventure of getting to find what I like that will make me happy -- all while continuing to learn and develop my personal skills. One of the exciting potential adventures with new employment is the opportunity to relocate. I'm actually looking to relocate to a few new locations, so it's an exciting adventure to think about going to a new unknown city and discovering my way.
One of the things I realized is that I find new interests frequently because I don't find my previous interests to be adventurous anymore. Once I do something for a while and I learn and get good at it/them, I decide to get new interests and am on to the next adventure.
Overall, there's so much adventure in anything. People often get comfortable with things and don't get to experience the beauty of adventure. Remember, adventure is NOT just about hiking through the wilderness in the mountains. I hope you all get to experience some sort of new adventure in the future. I know I definitely consider investing in crypto's to be a huge adventure! Cheers to Steemit!
I freakin love adventure. I try and find it in everything I do and will seek it out if I must. Concerts, paintball, indoor skydiving, gator wrestling. Those are just a few things I like to spend time doing.
Descovering yourself is the best adventure :)
