Ben and me in 1992. We are 8 years old. When my mom shot this it must have been a test video or something. Nothing special at the time. Just 2 boys playing monopoly. Now it's 30 seconds of solid gold for me.

Ben is the oldest friend I got. Today I asked him if he wanted to come with me to my favorite store on the planet. HANOS.
They have such great food there for Lunch
We went to Hanos to buy ingredients for making pizza for his wife and his kids and us.
If you want to have the best pizza. Order them. If you want to have fun make em yourself.

He has two boys. This one, the youngest, was not long ago diagnosed with 22q11.2 deletion syndrome. I said start blogging on Steemit. He said he already wrote a story. I said just get it out there man.

Well, I'm a little late to the game but I can already see me and you still chilling together after many years! Walking sticks and all, lol. Talking about all the drama when Steemit was just starting out and how now everybody is using it like it was always there from the very start of social media, lol! The good old times, we'll call it way in the future! :)

Man, I love that clip too. I think it's the only one in existence of me and him together at that age. Maybe we all live in 'Steemit home for the elderly blogger' one day, lol :D
I had a big smile on my face as I watched the video of 2 friends playing Monopoly as boys and then seeing the pictures of them sharing a day together as grown men. Our time is ours is this life, and how and who we choose to share it with is our choice alone. That is what I think is so magical about friendship, 2 people choosing to spend their allotment of time together.
I see you wasted no time in firing up the Green Egg and you even let Ben man the wheel, he must be a good friend! :)

We had such a great day yesterday. Going to that store, playing with the egg and stuff. Just wonderful. He such a good guy. O and that egg will be on a lot this summer...and fall...and winter...o and spring.. :) Thanks for your thoughtful reply!

We can't get much older friends than we are. We first met as babies :). The pizza was decent, but lots of room for improvement! It was fun though!

That's awesome @exyle to have those pieces of memories to save. I've been cleaning out a spare bedroom at my house and have been posting some old pictures and items this weekend too.
Memories are golden
I remember that day as yesterday. Two friends (who argued also, but that's normal), who are still very good friends. You played together a lot and I remberber well that you were a shy child at that age, who didn't want to go to Ben's birthdayparty because you were a little afraid. That's all long gone now and you are no longer that shy child, but a very lovely son. I was very proud of you when you were little and I am very proud of you now and I love you very much.
