My mom called me this morning for help. Last night Baby Sam came to visit her for a sleepover but in the morning (or night) she got really ill.
She was feeling so poorly she couldn't take care of him in the morning and asked me if I could come over after his morning nap to help out.
When Bianca and I arrived he was already awake and I ordered my mom to go to bed.
Sam was hungry. He eats bread now. Tons of it seems.
He can also sit now. Crawling is still too hard. I guess when he can do that the real fun starts.
After playing he wanted to eat more....I was answering some comments on Steemit. He also had a bottle.
My sister left a buggy behind so we decided to go for a walk. We realized quickly that we forgot his socks so Bianca offered him her sweater not much later. What worried me was the amount of fun Bianca had walking him....
We came past this beautiful shop full of bottles that I like.
Bianca and I had not eaten yet so decided to get a sandwich in a Surinam shop. Someone was unhappy he didn;t get any.
When we finally got back Sam was very tired so we put him in bed and he fell asleep instantly.
He wasn't the only one....
When he woke up something was smelling bad...really bad. It seemed that all that bread and milk went through his system while napping. I had never seen anything like it.
Poop had found its way out of the diaper covering his legs and clothes. It was everywhere. It was horrifying. I picked him up and went to the bath and put him in. It didn't help much. Now he was sitting covered in shit in the tub.
My mom came to the rescue. She turned on the bath with lukewarm water and helped me remove his clothes. He was now easier to work with. We cleaned him up and in the meantime, he had the time of his life splashing the water high with all the strength his little hands could muster. It was quite the sight. I had fun.
After 10 minutes of bathing, Bianca took him out and put him on the bed. I did everything (with a little help) next, new diaper, put on his clothes. I even combed his hair.
Not bad right... :)
My sister was almost coming to pick him up so we took one last shot.
My sister was very happy with what we did. I think she feels a little better about the fact I will have to babysit him alone in my own house next Saturday :0

Sounds like an incredible day all around. Spending time with the family, you and Bianca taking baby Sam for a walk and getting pooped on. :) I know the poop horror you speak of as I've been there myself. You did great, you're a natural man.
Little Sam all by yourself this Saturday, you'll be nervous but all will be fine. Hope your mom got to feeling better and thank goodness she was there to rescue you. Poop has a way of bringing out the fear in all men. Thank goodness we have women! :)

He looks absolutely adorable eating bread. I was going to say that he may be energetic the whole day with all that energy then the next picture I see is him knocked out in a cot.
All those bottles of alcohol look so good. Did you buy any beers or were you able to stop yourself getting some?

lmfao I think this just made my day. Glad to see Sam was cleaned up relatively quickly and not left rolling around caked in shit.

Practice makes perfect. Soon you'll be wanting one of your own! But you need to know what to do when you get a basic diaper blow out! You know, poop out the diaper and down the leg and into socks. Mr. D had the problem when he took one of the little ones with him on an outing. While sitting at lunch, the little critter had a blow out of epic proportions. Papa took him to the men's room, ditched the foul clothes in the bin, washed the critter in the sink and air dried him with the hand dryer. He looked in the backpack for extra clothes but found only diapers and a striped shirt. So he dressed the critter, left the men's room very nonchalantly, paid the tab and left as quickly as possible. He didn't wish anyone to blame him for the horrible stench in the men's room!

It's great that you went through this experience. I had similar ones when I babysat for my sister's kids. It's great training for later. ;)

Oh yes, paralysing mind numbing panic is always a result of being confronted with a poo-splosion. It is one of the things I am looking forward to least over then next year or so!
Great practice! Consider your diet as an example for a future little to see as an example. A baby is a sponge who wants to look,walk, talk, eat, and drink like you. But then, not quite yet... have a beer!

its good to have a family to help with baby sitting, so parents can rest and sleep for 1 day or travel somewhere. I think your sister was happy ;)
Atleast you realized that how much the mothers on this planet suffer to raise a kid and make them gentleman like you. It was even a day for you and mothers do it everyday without any worry or tension, that is why they are said very close to the God. I really loved the way the baby is posing for a picture. Take care of your family, that is a true gem in your life and you will not find another.
