Bitcoin is close to breaking $10k again. I wonder if it can do it.
If this is the beginning of a new uptrend I might regret my trading tactic, lol. (I have not bought above my baseline).
But for now I'm still sticking to my plan.
I would like to see a little more of a recovery before I make any changes to it.
STEEM is looking great at $4.35 and SBD at $5.36.

I know for most users on the steem blockchain this might not be the most spectacular news because all the changes will be under the hood but in the future when millions use this blockchain it needs to run as smooth as it does today.
Now, as you know, this blockchain can already scale pretty well compared to most other blockchains here.
But with these changes the foundation will be even more solid for everyone to build on.

Yeah! Good article! I decided to take out 50% of my SBD into Bitcoin moving forward on a weekly basis. Friday is payday! Lol :-) Other than that I'll take 25% in fiat and the other 25% Steem Power! I'm also only going to power up my 25% if the SBD price is higher than STEEM. If SBD is less than STEEM then I'll hold the SBD. I'm going to try this for a while and see how it goes! I have noticed that Bitcoin's rise this morning... It is exciting of course... But I am wondering that SBD's rise... is this normal? I am happy with it but if the witnesses do something to make it to equal to 1 USD, that can be real disaster for all minnows as me. What is your opinion about this mr @exyle.
An SBD is worth 1 USD worth of STEEM. It is currently trading much higher for some reason. I think that is great for content creators at the moment. I do believe that given enough time it will come down to 1 USD worth of STEEM all by it self.
Anything that's good for Steemit long term is good for me too. I wish I was more knowledgeable about the "under the hood" parts and codes but I'm not a coder, just an artist super stoked to have a social platform where I can share my art, people who follow me can actually see it, and I can earn some money, and help others to earn some too! Yes you are a smart guy clearly... I think it is good that you not buy above the 10K mark i am just a small player in the crypto game but i can imagine that you are doing some Serious business on the exchanges. I think Steemit is great also because i can put in my sbd that i earn to Bittrex so i dont have to use any fiat..

I see with daytrading that wen the big dip comes most off you hard work was for nothing.
I know its a matter off taking your profits and not getting to greedy but I must confess this is hard for me sometimes. Again i am a small fish i started out with 300 usd last september and on 6 februari i put in an other 500 usd and my portfolio is now x4 my investment i am really trying to build it up not even for myself but if crypto will last then i could be nice for my childeren in a few years. Mark, there is something I don't understand in your vlog. You said you earn Steem by blogging, but I get SBD and SP (50/50) but no Steem. I can buy Steem with my SBD, but I don't earn Steem right away as you told in your vlog.

It's a little bit confusing I understand but in the end everything = STEEM.
1 SBD = 1 USD worth of STEEM. (I know it's trading for more atm)
SP = STEEM but already staked (or powered up).
I did not want to mention all this to keep it it simple. It's hard enough sometimes to understand.
The STEEM we earn with blogging we can sell on the open market. The market today says that 1 STEEM = $4.35 USD.

Bitcoin is really back to it's old ways and that's really great to see. I almost forgot how it felt seeing the price of bitcoin go up. As of now we're about $80-$70 away from hitting $10,000 again so we could very well see it hitting 10k today. However I still feel like we will start to get really bullish in march.

No, it can already scale better right now than most cryptos. But I do believe STEEM will go up over time.

I don't know. That's why I stick to my investment plan for now.
My humble opinion is that bitcoin will begin to gain ground lost, I have been seeing this behavior for more than three years, impressive falls and fast recoveries, always breaking a new record, I think this time not for reaching the $ 40,000 before end of the year.
As for steem, I never had the slightest doubt that it would be the best cryptocurrency, it's just a matter of time

Scaling up i read about that and the future seems to be bright you are right that many wouldn't see this as a huge thing but it is infact thinking in mind already what challenges could come up and ready to battle them on the front end steem ecosystem is ready

Excellent video friend and i agree with your thoughts scalability is one of the biggest problems that bitcoin and eth is facing right now and they have no solution how to tackle with it but great to hear that steem is already working on scalability and at present with equal load it works way better from the rest of the blockchains and i think this is one of the biggest edge that steem blockchain has from the rest and this is beneficial for all steem user's, i am also happy to see nice green days in crypto space and i hope we soon see atleast 10$ steem, thanks for staying us updated regarding steem blockchain friend, Stay blessed

Damn I sold a bit when market was showing a down fall. I made a small amount during the rise and fall trend back few days. But I think I will be losing on a big bull run. I sold around 2 Ethereums when it started to fall from $850. And I regret it already.
Mistakes will be made, the only important thing is becoming better on the way. Even if you make less money because of a couple of bad trades, you can still earn A LOT of profit over the next couple of years.
Agree 100% short-term losses VS long- term wins, see it like that.

Selling when the market is falling looks like a temptation. A lot of people do this. They sell in panic and later regret. Many buy when the price keeps increasing and sell when the price falls. Both are not the good things to do. Buy when the price drops and Hodl. Don't sell when the price is increasing, instead one should look at it as a long term investment. They should withdraw only when they are in need of money.

I was day trading the up and down trend. Thought it would go down again but it didn't.
The futures of BTC might try and inflate the price leading up to the end of the first contracts, where if they are able to manipulate it and bring the price down, whoever shorted bitcoin will make 10x on their money.
BTC will be back for sure but till then it's a patience game. I wonder when BtC picks up where will steem go. 10 USD steem does not seem a far off reality i guess.
It's great to see there have been scaling upgrades made to Steem. I know it will help greatly in the future when we have millions of users.

Looking at the global market cap is also going up to 500 billion again. It does seem like it's making a very fast recover. Very impressive to see Litecoin go up 28.5% last 24 hours. Bitcoin is now at $9894 it's about to cross the line to the moon again!
All this probably happens since there was around a 3 week delay for people to get accepted on the exchanges so you still have people coming in from December month! Wouldn't be surprised if we see another massive dip soon because of it. Lots of new money that has never seen massive dips before. It's a roller coaster!

The trending section belongs to a specific sector of Steemians. The cast majority have absoutely no chance getting on that page, even using voting bots. It's a real shame I feel because, in a sense it is the storefront that new people to the platform see and it's no way representative of what's here.

Bitcoin dropped considerably last week when the Chinese government prohibited foreign cryptocurrencies in its current commit to reining in Bitcoin and different cryptocurrencies. now its a good news again thanks for sharing this info

I noticed many people (including experts) who say bitcoin and all market will go up for a while, then it will drop again.
They expect that bitcoin might go to $7K again, after that the drop will end and it will go back up again.
Also, it's good to see Steem go up with bitcoin, but be careful guys from the price if it goes down.
