A striking painting of several ballerinas, worthy of artistic merit or maybe something more inexplicably sinister, buried within the brush strokes and canvas?
This is a quandary that has had us arguing for God knows how many years now. But the breakdown is as follows. Out of the blue, a young lad came knocking at our door in an attempt to sell us one of his masterpieces from a sizeable portfolio. I tried to get rid of him pronto, but when my wife came downstairs and discovered what was going on, she soon became enamoured by his undoubtedly impressive skillset. So, in spite of my understated protests, she purchased these two artworks displayed in the image and decided to hang them up on the wall opposite to where we sleep. Now, whereas she was completely satisfied with the new main attraction of the bedroom, I was less so. One night, I remember waking up in the middle of night. The moonlight shone in from the window to our far right and happened to cast it's luminescence upon the paintings. God help me, but I've never been so scared. It looks ghostly and horrific! As if each ballerina wore a distorted, sneering evil grin. And were watching us! Needless to say, I didn't sleep much that night.
Lol, call me kooky or plain nuts, but something has never sat right about these "show pieces" on our bedroom wall. Thus, we've been contending ever since. Myself to take it down (and preferably burn them out of existence) and my wife insisting that I get over whatever hang up I have and see them for the glourous exhibits they really are. The thing is, I can't help feeling what I do and the fact that these spectral dancers from hell, look down at us every night, unsettles me tremendously.
So, do you also see something almost "paranormal" about these artworks? Or am I just a big old cry baby? :)
😂somebody is chicken much lol...
Jeez, leave the innocent paintings i just think you are being dramatic lol cmon...or wait a minute, .......uhmm ..is that...uh...
Lol! I hear you, man! hope I don't lose too much respect up in here. :)
I dunno. I can go both ways.
On the one hand, art is communication, and someone you don't know put thoughts you weren't privy to into an expression of themselves, and it now hangs in your most personal room. So there's a weirdness to that.
On the other hand, who hasn't woken suddenly and been scared most-of-the-way-to-death by furniture obscured in darkness? Your brain is just as scary as the brain of the artist, I imagine.
It's my imagination that's going haywire, I know. But I can't help feeling weirded out by those two paintings hung on our wall. Can't place it but they need to go! :)
I see just innocent ballerinas admiring themselves. However, at the right moment and at the right time when you mentioned the moon 🌚... These paintings can sometimes be very valuable due to their history. Why do you think this saleswomen was so desperate to sell them walking door to door? There might be curse here involved in your case. She just handed it to you by desperately selling it to you. I would be really afraid sleeping in your bedroom with those innocent looking ladies. Can you imagine being woken up at 3am and seeing them looking right in to your eyes while moon reflecting right into them? I would run the hell out of this room.
lol 😆
Lol! I'm glad I'm not the only one who can see reasons as to why those painting may harbour "another" side to the. I dunno, bro. That night scared me good and proper. :)
Ha. ha. ha. @ezzy. It's @rea's revenge for Linda!!! 😂
Lol! Too right! See, I suppose "Linda" isn't that bad now... :)
Wow, this is absolutely beautiful as I’m a lover of art myself. I keep some myself

I hope you like this one
Lol! Are you being sarcastic? :)

@ezzy
If the situation was so bad, then I was sleeping there, there were dangers, small children had a good fortune, there was a demand for the duty of the citizen to sell. God is protecting him
Priceless art work you got there @ezzy, full of meanings

excellent post my friend 👌
beautiful photo to share..thanks for this @ezzy
Extremely awesome painting. Made with a lot of thinking and determination. You can t really judge whether the shed in the painting is from the woman 's dress or is it the splash of water. You guys need to think on it. Think and answer.
I can see the horror in the painting especially the color used..When the moonlight dawn on it, and one accidentally gaze upon the portrait. One may begin to see it differently especially when one had a bad dream.
Great photos!!
Those DO look creepy!
I remember reading a Manga once late at night. It wasn't even a horror manga. But one page, the artist drew a character to be so scary that I freaked out at that page alone.
Even my friend said he got a shock of his life. The power of art I tell ya.
