Ahhh... My trusty old graphics card. Served me well it has, but alas, a replacement may be soon on the horizon. In the form of the Geforce 11-series. Even though the specs are still quite vague as to how it will perform, I quietly confident that it'll be a damn beast!
And yes, as the title says, you only needed one of these working away in the background to be a BTC miner back in the day. And here was I, playing games for hours at a time and missing out on one of the most "golden" opportunities of a lifetime. Oh well, I guess that puts me in the same position as almost everybody else, lol. And the irony of fate is that now we all "know" the possibilities of GPU crypto mining in general, the companies selling new cards are also positioning them with a hefty price premium attached! It's like "Oh No! You're not gonna get a free ticket making money off of our equipment!"...
Such is business and the cost of manipulating new technology. But anyways, my eye is firmly on purchasing one of these next-gen beauties (although my 970 still chugs out a decent enough frame-rate) and I'm sticking to pure gaming. So Nvidia, pull your finger out and let's help give this silicon monster a new home! :)
Well, I'm still mining, but with AMD RX series
Make sense
I have the same video card. I tried also to mine with it. But is is not enough and bevolen too warm for only a very small amount of Cryptocoins. Only gridcoins worked Well but are not so easy to Exchange to an other Coin.
Amazing
Can I get your support? Would really appreciate or else my unconditional support is still there. Thanks
I dont think so the difficulty in these days are much higher
Exactly my point.
I do not think it is impossible these days
Much harder but not impossible. :)
@ezzy i thinkit won't be possible to mine now
If anything, extremely difficult, but still people continue to mine a few alts.
Those were the days!
I agree
It must be hard
Amazing
