We had an argument about if or not actions speak louder than word, and i was amazed when she asked this question and seriously i don't know where that came from..
She said if truely actions speak louder than word, why do we learn languages instead of kung fu? this dumb question got me speechless for a while, but i saw sense in it. Because in every nonsense there is a sense. i understood this was just some metaphor or another of her musical punch lines...
But i had to relate this on steemit because i believe there are lots of people out there like my friend who doesn't understand what this phrase ''actions speak louder than word'' really means.
When we say actions speak louder than word, it means that people's actions show their real attitudes, rather than what they just say. this phrase is sometimes used to advice a person to do something positive.
One's true character is revealed through his actions since it is easy for anyone to say things or make promises. For example Mark made all sorts of promises when he was on the campaign trail. But since actions speak louder than words, let's see how many of those promises he actually keeps. Mary always talks about donating to the school, but yet she never does, and i doubt she will this year. Actions speak more than words, after all.

Often times people on daily basis make promises or say things they have no intention of doing. It's easy to tell someone you care and love them as many times as you want, the person might probably not believe you not until your actions and behavior coincides with that you said.
Most times we can't express how we feel in mere words; they require actions to speak for them. Words are so cheap, that anybody can tell anybody they love care about them, but the immensity of these emotions will not be felt until they are acted upon.
I believe this concept applies to almost every situation in a person’s life. Take for instance In a relationships, if one partner makes it an habit coming home late from work and always not answering his or her phone, what do you think will run through the other partners mind? he or she will probably think this person is cheating.
This is a valid concern, since the partner’s actions are running contrary to how a relationship should be. This concern will only grow as the actions contradict the faithful promises that were once made. No protests of love will be able to convince otherwise because the actions are looked at over the words.
“Love is sustained by action, a pattern of devotion in the things we do for each other every day.”
We can Promise all we can but it definitely means nothing without proof. People say things and lie all the time just to appease others. We can only get to learn about a person’s true character by watching their behaviors toward us and others. Our actions should meet verbal commitments, and not conflict them. People will always not believe you when you promise something until they see you do it.
The words we say must always coincide with our actions. After all words are so easy to throw around, and it always takes a righteous person to follow through with actions that back them up.
“When all is said and done, more is always said than done.”
The way people conduct themselves in different situations is a greater determinant of behavior and character than the words through which they choose to express themselves. What you do holds much more significance than what you say.
The truth is, before you can actually convince people to listen to you, you need to do what you say. Most often, lessons are more effective when put into practice rather than just receiving a lecture.
“People may not always tell you how they feel about you, but they always show you. Pay attention.”
Most people find it so hard expressing their emotions to others because of the were raised or being treated by their parents. Growing up as a child not seeing your parents embracing each other and showing love toward one another, they grow up thinking that way of interaction is normal. Furthermore, children feel they are not being loved by their parent if they grow up not being embraced or hugged, they seem not believing they are truly loved.
“Action speaks more powerfully than words, but when you use words as your actions, you probably won’t stop talking.”
Our words become meaningless when we apologize for our mistakes over and over, but if our actions do not change, Before a word comes out of your mouth you need to be careful of what you're about to say, especially when it's about someone who loves you. Instead of giving someone false hope, it is more effective you act the way you wish if you are not able to support what you say with actions.
Bottom line, whatever your actions may be will show what you are trying to prove. If you are simply talking, nothing is happening, but when actions take place, you are actually engaging in this behavior.
ACTIONS PROVE WHO SOMEONE REALLY IS, WHILE WORDS ONLY SHOW WHAT SOMEONE WANTS TO BE...
Thanks for your time...
still your girl
@famouzqueen
Wow! Amazing how you made an idea from a short conversation flow into something as detailed and sensible post.
You are doing fantastic, and I am sure a lot more people will notice that. Steem on!
thanks very much for your words of encouragement...i appreciate your time
I don't understand your language reference. Action is not kung fu only, but yes it is true that people with no integrity will only talk and prove absolutely nothing by what they do.
It is like their brain is not connected to their hands, just to the mouth. LOL
They language stuff is just a metaphor..the whole thing is about action speaking more than words...thanks for your time

That title immediately caught my attention. I would also have been caught off-guard with that.
Because kung fu is actually lethal and people prefer they'd rather use word :)
On a serious note, you made a nice point here.
thanks very much for your time
You welcome
Ues. Walk the talk
Nice question. I'd say that it's all part of a greater scheme of cultural imperialism... :)
