Accidents happen all the time. Sometimes the shock of having been in one, if it's a new experience for you, is often worse than any of the symptoms of the actual crash.
As long as there's no serious injuries, what you're experiencing is probably just whip lash, so by all means get checked out, but hopefully it settles well..
I've been in a very big accident a few years back, on a freeway at 100km/h and I honestly don't know how or why I survived, but I walked away without a scratch. A truck clipped my tail while changing lanes, sending me dining across the freeway, bouncing off the centre ropes and crashing into another car.
Argh your story at the end reminds me of my mother, last year she was hit by a semi and shoved down the road for a few hundred meters before she was shoved into the centre median - just thinking about sends shivers up my spine, so I feel for you here.
I think it is only minor issues with me, all in all I feel very lucky and a little bit of pain won't set me back in the end - thanks for your lovely comment. Cheers :D
