Let me start with stating I'm not a huge Tony Robbins fan and even his latest project:
I AM NOT YOUR GURU
Left me thinking this is a same old BS and Rah Rah Feel Good Crap.
However, I like to keep an open mind and decided that maybe Tom Ferriss would reveal in an interview something important and valuable.
Besides the usual comments about wealth and happiness in the podcast , Tony does hit a concept that's has value:
Achievement vs. Fulfillment.
This is a important psychological concept especially if we are looking to hack SUFFERING.
Granted, Tony doesn't have to worry too much about financially suffering with a 💰 Billion dollar empire, but maybe we can take something away from his approach.
In Tony's terms we need to spend 90 seconds in the suffering state which we connect with achievement and then SWITCH to a different state where the focus is:
FULFILMENT
This is a technique/process NOT an at "all times" methodology. Achievement keeps us focused on goals and directs us. However, achievement is a ruling mechanism.
Rulers turn us into slaves.
Once we have bought into the IDEA we are slaves, we become the belief that we have inside of our head. The suffering leads us to SLAVERY.
Fulfillment appears to short circuit the suffering and pain.
Some might be content with slavery and suffering gives us meaning. However, if not content with being a slave, look for fulfillment and achievement will take care of itself.
Good Luck Friends this crap ISN'T EASY but it can be fulfilling.
