RE: A Falling Smidgen in the Hourglass: Reminiscing Five Years on the Blockchain - The Future and How It Has Changed my Life

in #life2 years ago

Thank you so much, my friend. I am so glad that the post resonated with you. I think that a lot of creative people feel like this, especially when they only have normal social media. There was no inspiration in me to create when I posted on Facebook, Instagram, and all those. It has become saturated and to be honest toxic. The whole post-for-likes mentality thing is exactly the same as post for money or work-for-money mentality. It becomes soul-drenching and life-sucking. Cheers to that, for many years of growth and improvement.

The funny thing is that when I started here it was my first social media ever, a true virgin :)
Years later I opened an Instagram account because I though it will help me in a job quest and I found out first hand that I was right to avoid all those mainstream social media in the first place!

That is awesome though. I would love to have lived without social media. At least I grew up in an era where there were no social media. But it is sad to see it suck the life out of so many people today. Their whole lives are built around social media. There is a lot of good (sharing of cultures and food and so on) but there is also a lot of bad things too.
