As I woke this morning and stepped on to whatsapp, I got hooked to one interesting story full of advice to each and everyone of us out there, especially our dear ladies. There are a lot of great things that can motivate them to be conscious of every action they take.
The story goes like;
David picked up his phone and called Margret (the lady he wanted to marry)
"Hello! Margret, am in my family house now. You can come over let me introduce you to my mum."
Margret was happy, she jumped on her bed.
"Is your mum at home now?"
She asked with a lot of excitement. Trusting that David's mum will accept such a beautiful girl like her.
"She went to the market in town but she will be back shortly. Please hurry up and come over."
She threw her phone on the bed, picked up her towel and rushed to her bathroom.
45 MINUTES LATER,
She was seated in a bus. The bus conductor was still calling for more passengers.
A woman in her mid fifties walked in to the bus.
"please my daughter let me sit close to the door while you shift in because of my load, please" said the woman.
Margaret replied
"Madam abeg do not disturb me, I came here first before you entered this bus. If you can't sit there you better go find another bus! I also need fresh air"
The mid fifty woman felt embarrassed, but she didn't utter any more words.
She squeezed herself in and sat down quietly.
35 MINUTES LATER...
"Oya let's get out sharp sharp" said the bus conductor.
They had gotten to the final bus stop.
Margret and the woman were standing under the sun waiting for a bike.
Suddenly a bike came their way. They both beckoned on the bike man at the same time.
The bike man took a reverse and Margaret rushed towards the bike while the woman came behind her.
"please, my daughter let me enter the bike because of my load, am expecting a very important guest soon and I have to go and put something on the fire for my visitor please." Said the woman.
Margaret looked at her angrily and said,
"Madam, Am as well going to a very important function in my life and it's even more important that the visitor you are talking about?"
She entered the bike and the bike man drove-off to her destination.
She got to David's family house, David gave her a warm embrace.
"I believe my mum will like you, who will reject such a beautiful girl like you?"
Margaret smiled believing David's mum will love her, after all she's a beautiful girl.
They were both seated waiting for David's mum.
David's mum walked into the sitting room, and to her greatest surprise she saw the same lady that spoilt her day sitting on her chair.
"David, what is this mannerless thing doing in my house?"
"Ah! Mum, she's the girl I talked to you about, the one I want to marry" he protested looking confused.
Margaret was already soaked in shame.
Her hands and toes were already vibrating.
David's mum explained all that happened to her son.
David was so disappointed at Margaret. And that was the end of their relationship.
Margaret soaked her pillows with tears that night, her bad character had destroyed her.
Life has so many beautiful great things for everyone and we are to not rash in our decisions but take time in all we do or say to others. Words spoken is the very thing that can be taken off, they remain our words where ever we go and in every thing we do.
We are not to let our beauty deceive us that we can have all we want but we are to no that the only difference between our good day and our bad day is the very character we portray in the cause of that day. So let's live around each day with a positive character.
"If you're nothing without beauty, then you shouldn't have it"
I agree with you that beauty is not enough but if you're beautiful, you have more advantage than others. The first impression is very important even it's not remembered, it still influents unconsciously. Some people think they're rational and not assume the influence of beauty but they already had it in their mind although they don't even know it. So, if you're not beautiful, what should you do? I think you can create another value of yourself that can impress people in the first times you meet them.
Well said.... Beauty adds value but it's not always enough to get you all the things you want. Thanks for passing by
