Albert Einstein stated it very right,
“A calm and modest life brings more happiness than the pursuit of success combined with constant restlessness.”
Albert Einstein shared this theory of happiness nearly 100 years ago, and even still, the majority of the people fail to understand the secret to a more fulfilling and meaningful life. Despite our culture’s obsession with wanting personal happiness, there are rarely few who know that understanding your meaning in life is the secret to success and resilience.
There are only a few who live life fully and make every moment of it. There are only a few who hold patience and work hard to achieve what they want in life. There are only a few who keep it simple, plain, explicit amidst modern life. Even though life is getting better with each conceivable standard, more people seem depressed, anxious, hopeless, and alone.
Most of the people today seem to live a life of regret. Is that even a life? Sure, we all have some regrets in life, for the opportunities we have lost, mistakes made, and things we’ve done. But, instead of getting hard on ourselves for errors, if we make a conscious decision every day to improve ourselves and minimize those regrets, we lead a life - happier, fulfilling, happening, and enthusiastic. And, hopefully improving ourselves with each passing day inspire those around us as well.
Here are few ways to live a more fulfilling, happy life, and to help set you on the right path:
1. Prioritize Your Time Wisely
No doubt, time flies! Each second of life is precious and worth counting. So, you must ensure you do not waste time. Wake up each day with something meaningful to accomplish. Something you feel good about at the end of the day. Something that gives you inner peace, a sigh of relief, a sense of motivation, a feel of pride, and to be distinct in life.
2. Be Accountable For Your Mistakes
Running away from your mistakes, not taking accountability, and blaming others for them will help you no way. You must realize that being accountable for the outcomes is the path to true accomplishment. To avoid regrets in life, you must always consider the consequences of what you do and what you say. Taking accountability when things go wrong is also integral to build trust with people (family, friends, colleagues, relatives).
When you are accountable, you learn from your mistakes and grow gracefully. Further benefits of being accountable are that it minimizes the effort and time you spend on unproductive behavior and distracting activities. When done right, accountability can contribute a lot to your self-development and confidence.
3. Believe In The Joy Of Giving
No matter you believe it or not, but giving helps you flourish your inner soul like no other. When you give, you get back in the most unexpected ways. The majority of the people today have lost the inner peace and are running after money desperately. There is no harm to earn more money, but the thing is people are so lost earning it that they are losing grip of relations, family.
People are losing patience and ways to be happy. They do not realize that amidst this busy life, they must take out time for themselves, the family, and the loved ones, and also believe in the joy of giving. Help others come out of a difficult situation. However, that does not mean you can only help people with money, tell them you are there and help with soul, and then see how your life gets all sour, sweet, and bright, and you get a clear path of life.
4. Expunge Hate From Your Heart
Life is too short to hold grudges and looking at someone with hatred. You have to have control over yourself, or else hate will exhaust you, consume you, and distract you from the positive aspects of your life. You need a lot of discipline to have a victory over hate. Learn to put your ego aside and replace it with kindness, love, and a feeling of gratitude always!
To Conclude It..
And as said by Victoria Holt,
Never regret.
If it’s good, it’s wonderful.
If it’s bad, it’s experience.
Make every second of the life count, and don't ever live with regrets. Believe in the power of your deeds and move on. Rest leave up to Almighty, everything happens for a good reason.
