I believe it will become more difficult to find and secure lasting relationships the more disconnected we become through social media. Building a relationship on a foundation initially created through lies, fabrication, pride and hubris is more a house of cards than bricks and mortar. Besides, do younger people want lasting relationships anymore? I don’t know. They whine about having difficulty in finding the right person but continue to treat relationships with a degree of contempt. Generally speaking of course.
Interesting post.

We were talking about this with my partner on the other day. Our parents and grandparents were married for a liftime and they were happy. Yes I believe that social media can disconnect an existing relationship, but also helps to jump into a new one. I have seen this as well unfortunately. The commitment it is that today's young people don't want to do.

People don't seem to be able to commit to anything for very long these days and have little tolerance and patience.
