The Most Important Thing For The Day

in #life8 years ago

Most of us have a list of things to do every day or a daily to do list. It can be a personal list or something related to our profession. Generally, we fill it up with anything and everything we want to do in a day.

When we have a long list, we tend to prioritize the tasks in our head based on how willing we are to do a task. Something which we don’t really want to do or are not comfortable with, never really gets completed. That task lingers on, no matter how important it is. That’s not a good way to prioritize tasks on the list.

It is always better to do one important thing well done rather than 10 half-done jobs.

Choose the most important tasks of the day wisely. Something which takes you closer to what you want, something which will have the maximum impact.

This is where most people fail. They get so caught up in the daily whirlwind that there is no sense of direction left.

A ship with no sense of direction will never reaches the shore.

When you are choosing the most important task, here are some things you can follow

  • Look beyond the daily whirlwind of tasks.
  • Always remember your objective or goal Don’t let any biases affect your choice. Sometimes you have to choose the hardest job first because it’s the most important one.
  • Don’t wait for perfection in the task – a job well done is always better than a perfect job which takes double the time.

Although this topic goes pretty deep, these are some of the things you can keep in mind to keep moving towards your goals.

To your success.
