Hey steemit, here's the first finished page of a new sketchbook,
Buying a new sketchbook feels a lot like getting a haircut or a new pair of shoes, and I really like the way this sketchbook looks and feels so I'm gonna try to keep some decent work in it and use some of my other sketchbooks for the really loose stuff
Let me know what you think of my first doodle that I did of a fisherman in brushpen glancing at a reference and a weird fish market background from my imagination with red marker
I'll post more as I fill this sketchbook

I'm with you on the sketchbook things- it's about the paper, the way the pages sit, the cover. I have sketchbooks that I am comfortable with, but I am yet to find the one.
