Hello Everyone.
This is Genuinity.. I know I am here at steemit after a heck of a long time. There were a series of situations holding me back from the community.
I, generally am dedicated to post on space science But Today's story is going to be altogether a different one.
I will try to present it as simply as I can and with the help of pictures.
Today, Tuesday, 15th of august and the clock just ticked 6:40 pm where I live and Still we have no access to electricity and other basic facilities.
I live in Eastern Part of Nepal. To be precise, Biratnagar Metropolitian city, Morang District.
This is where I live.
The last 4 days have been a havoc even for us, who resides in the city area of the metropolitan.
The main culprit of the scene was 'THE RAIN'.
It all started from mid night of Friday, 11th of august. The drizzle had already begun to become heavy. Monsoon it was. It was quite normal we thought. We had nothing to think otherwise. We slept.
The next day i.e Saturday morning.......... The surrounding was not like the one we lived on....
Even Biratnagar Regional Airport was not spared.

A reknowned restaurent of Biratnagar near to the airport also saw the rage of the flood.
Other famous landmark that caught our eyes was our college Nobel Medical College And Teaching Hospital.

View from top floor of students' hostel
A glimpse of students' hostel premises
Motorbikes parked outside hostel gate
Not only my Morang district but other at least 12 other districts of the terai belt have been worsely effected leaving the death tolls to 111, at least 35 people missing and millions effected and forced to leave their house.
Today, even in the fourth day, life is not easy. Let alone the residents of villages around the city and settlements in the inner city, we the resident of main city area are not able to have proper access to general daily requirements like proper drinking water, foods, veggies, etc.
There is total black out in the fourth day too.. Can you imagine the situation without no electricity for straight 96 hours and counting in this modern era??
Nepal Electricity Authority, Regional substation made to distribute electricity to the district drowns, leading to complete power blackout in the district.
No electricity means no access to the internet and very limited access to mobile and telephone network, eventually making life more miserable and rescuing operations more difficult.
I pray for the best for those who are still threatened by flood in vulnerable areas, for the sick and injured, for the homeless and for those still searching for loved ones in this great tragedy. I will be trying my level best to make effort in any means to help flood victims personally
