PRESENT REPORT ON THE SOCIAL SITUATION IN VENEZUELA
At the time of publication of this article, the situation in Venezuela, and specifically in the city of Barquisimeto, state. Lara, is the following: the suspension of electric service has become more frequent, occurring once or twice a day, with a duration of three hours (approximately); in addition, the voltage level is unstable, so it can cause severe damage to home electronic equipment. On the other part, the commercial activity is almost paralyzed as far as the purchase of food products is concerned, due to the fact that the Venezuelan population does not have enough purchasing power to buy what is necessary and indispensable for the month, in spite of the fact that prices are frozen and the value of the dollar tends to fall.
On the political side, both the government and the opposition have ceased negotiations, so there is no end to the conflict between the two sides in the near future, while the sanctions imposed by the United States on government officials of the Venezuelan state continue to intensify.
