SMALL LIFE STORY IN Curious and wonder world. I Can’t Wait Until Tomorrow

in #life7 years ago

It’s a chilly November evening; you just knocked off from school. As you leave class, you bump into Natasha, she gives you the look, and you stare back into her seemingly perfect, deep and pretty brown eyes. Before you can say a word, she turns away and heads out. You realise, she still doesn’t know you. You’ve been stalking her since grade 10, you know everything about her, yet, its been two years but, she barely knows you even exist! It doesn’t hurt you as usual. You mingle around for a while and head home. Just outside the football field you hear Screaming and shouting, its Natasha and her boyfriend Martin. Martin is mad at her, like always, he doesn’t understand her, he never treats her well.

** you would treat her like a princess but he treats her like a slave**. why is she even still with him? You look around and see his 3 best friends standing not so far away. You pretend not to notice and continue walking, then suddenly the shouting stops and it gets quiet, dead silent, you look to see what just happened, and find that Natasha is on the ground, He pushed her down. Martin’s face is marked by extreme anger. Tempers rise just as fast as your hatred for him grows. She tries to get up and run but Martin isn’t done, he grabs her and pulls her back, she screams and as the sound tore through the darkness to strike your heart. Your brain goes into overdrive mode with your heart beating ever faster. As you look intently and think of what will happen next, you realise that your eyes are growing wider and you begin to notice your breathing, you can feel your chest slowly rise and fall, your heart beating a little faster every passing second.

Now, Adrenaline is rushing through your veins. She starts struggling with him and you’re just standing there, in shire shock, the cold wind brushing on your face, your eyes turning red, your fists clenched, teeth gnashed, muscles tensed and you are breathing deeper, like a Gladiator warrior preparing for battle. Her life is in danger, and soon you’ll learn, that yours is too. Martin starts kicking her, she lies on the ground with both hands over her head and body almost wrapped together, she lets out a blood curdling scream, and your killer instinct awakens just as fast as your sense of morality dies. You turn into a beast, one that cannot be tamed, your ears shut, your eyes focused only on Martin, and your mind intent on killing him. The word “consequences” meaning nothing to you. You run your fastest and grab Martin, giving him the worst beating of his life. Then suddenly, you feel a sharp stab in your back.

** Another in your leg, the thick dark red blood escapes your body as the wounds get deeper**. What just happened? Martin’s friends come to his rescue and stab you all over with knives, Natasha is there, begging them to stop. You try to hold your own, but your efforts are futile. They beat you up so badly you ask them to just kill you. It’s now dark, but Martin won’t stop, he picks up a log and as he tries to hit you with it, Natasha jumps in, and it hits her on her head. She drops to the ground, cold and unconscious. Martin and his friends grow afraid, they run away. You try to wake her up, but to no avail. You try to shout for help but it’s too far, no one will hear you. She’s going to die, you think. Let me rush her to the nearest hospital, which is 20minutes walk from where you are. She just risked her life for you; you’re determined to save her. You pick her up and start running, with one leg limping. You don’t realise that you’re losing so much blood. Half way through the journey and you fall and with the last trace of adrenaline in your body gone, you can now feel just how badly you’re hurt. You can’t see clearly, you’re losing so much blood, your entire body aching and you can’t walk. It’s now very dark, and it’s raining, and you keep losing a lot of blood. You can feel how cold it’s becoming. You try to scream for help but you don’t have enough energy in you to do it. You won’t let her die, so you get up and resolve to reach her at the clinic, even if It is the last thing you do. You drag yourself for hours, every step getting you closer to the clinic, every step making you weaker. Sad enough, you completely lose your sight, but you keep dragging yourself forward, you won’t give up because you know you’re close.

Finally, you reach the clinic and the nurses rush to take Natasha from your hands. You then fall on your knees, you thank God for giving you strength. You drop your last tear and fall to the ground… A week later, Natasha is out of hospital but doesn’t remember you, the hit on her head was so violent she lost her memory. And now you sit, alone, silent, under the stars, hoping that someday she will remember the guy who saved her life and maybe, just maybe you could win her heart…
THE END.
