IOTA Blockchain to Trace Displaced Persons after Conflicts

Better things seem to becoming the ITOA Blockchain way; tracing missing persons after war or conflict. This has come at the right time with so many conflicts around the world. What a better way of supporting the community you thrive in?

IOTA is partnering with REFUNITE, the biggest missing persons database in world, to ease the problem of refugees and displaced persons. This noble venture aims at re-uniting families affects by various larger scale conflicts.

The IOTA public distributed ledger is permission less thus offering seamless hands on participation by RUFUNITE. This non-governmental institution will offer the expertise in reuniting those affected by conflicts while IOTA Blockchain offers the platform for integration through their DLT.

According to UNHCR, over 65.6 have been displaced across the globe. Every day 28,300 people are affected by conflicts rendering them homeless.

David Sonstebo, the IOTA Co-founder says the platform will use its advanced technology to help refugees and displaced persons settle in their home or camps.  He sees this as the beginning of a long collaborative journey to clear the world of refugees and the homeless.

Sonstebo sees this as a scalable but long lasting solution, Currently, the Blockchain is working towards improving the living conditions of the displaced. He plans to replicate the Hack4Farming introduced in Kenya to optimize farming.

REFUNITE operates in more than 25 countries in their reuniting missions. Currently, they are helping over 700,000 refugees to find their families according to Christopher Mikkelsen, Co-founder of REFUNITE. As a cross border organization, tracing loved ones can be difficult.

With the growing refugee population, a distributed ledger records offers the best solution. it easy to record and verify person’s identity and using the same information to match one with relatives and family.

IOTA does not charge any fess and is scalable. This is ideal for humanitarian organizations like REFUNITE. This will help the organization in the future for the philanthropic approach. REFUNITE resources diminish and want a platform that is free and has the right integration interface. Theirs will be partnership and not charity.

I've been hearing some good things about IOTA. I didn't completely understand it until yesterday, but once I got it, it seems to be a very promising technology.
