For me it was Dark Ages of Camelot. I remember organizing a raid of approx 800 people. When we arrived at our enemies gate, they had somehow heard of this pending raid and easily defended our advances. There was likely 2000 people from around the world, who were able to organize an offense and a defense in under 24 hours.
