In Ontario, Canada, all alcohol is stopped at the border :-( We have the LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) that prevents it without a restaurant license. I don't know what they do with the alcohol they withhold, there's likely a couple of very happy employees.
lol, I bet! I hope Scotland is less strict about it. I have not checked the rules :/

I've had 3 very nice bottles shipped to me as gifts and I haven't had the luxury of enjoying one of them. :-(
Ironically, it's a provincial regulation, not federal. AND, the provincial borders allow all mail across. So, there are companies in neighbouring provinces that you can have your alcohol shipped to that will then ship interprovincial to me. :-) But, recently, there has been a crack-down on those companies too.
I am all going because we are all in the EU that it will be fine. I have my fingers crossed!
