So GoPro's are awesome for the money and size, but they have really big issues.
GoPro's basically are horrible if it comes to battery life, heat & sound, mediocre touchscreen..
So basically I bought a mediamod removed the internal battery and added a powerbank USB 2.0+ (the blue usb)
Then I went for the Rodeo videomic they are the best for the money.
Ofcourse i now sacrifice portability but I rarely use that and I can always just remove everything for a skiing video:)
Portability sacrifice is worth it, as it basically gives you worth. Although it looks a bit bigger on the video and doesn't look as exciting as when there was no addition to the Gopro, but nice additions, seems you've customized it to be better.
I tend to install the GoPro on a standard or tractor so size is really not relevant for me.
Battery size was the main problem with GoPro especially in winter I had 3 batteries constantly changing ...
Oh I thought you used it for vlogging, in that case it really wouldn't matter if it was big or not, since it's on a tractor
Absolutely epic set-up brother, 10X battery will most definitely help. I really have to take sometime and learn how to do this. Always loving the wood construction man. My family does have the Go Pro and unfortunately couldn't be using it effectively for same issues. Everybody resulted to iPhones hahaha but I'm definitely going to see if I can try this setup, really don't know where to start from you're most definitely experienced wow

I also heard that GoPros are overhyped as their battery is really not helping the video-makers.
I like your "accrocco", like we say in italian, when you somehow fix something to become something else.
They are a bit that said it's dirt cheap. The video quality is just insane for the price.
Normal cameras are frequently 5x-10x more expensive and more fragile
I don't know much about this gadget, but I think it looks good, and has a very durable battery life. I hope to see how deficient it works for you.
