DO DREAMS MATTER? WHY SHOULD I TAKE MY DREAMS SERIOUS?

in #life7 years ago (edited)

So many people dream and when they wake up, they totally forget about what they dreamt of and even when they do remember they'd say it's one of those things in life. Suffice it to say that you may be making a very big mistake if you probably see it this way too.

Let me start by saying that as a medical practitioner i did and studied psychiatry in the medical school. This field of medicine is the only sub-specialty that dived into the meta-physical aspect of man's existence. It deals with both the physical and metaphysical aspect of life. Whereas neurology as well as neurosurgery are concerned about the physical structures in the brain, neuro-psychiatry deals with the abstract components of the brain.

In all these, i wouldn't say neuro-psychiatry a field of medicine did justice to the issue of dreams. It recognizes hallucination and some other sleep disorders. It also went ahead to say dreams are what you feed your mind with during the day before going to bed and simply ends there. There are so many controversial explanation to it. Things like dreams relating to the phases of the sleep cycle, which are the REM SLEEP(Rapid eye movement sleep) and the NREM SLEEP(Non-Rapid eye movement sleep). But in all of these there is no clear explanation as to why an individual dreams about what will happen in the future and when the time comes in the future, it will actually come to pass. I still remember a Professor of Neuro-psychiatry stammering and sounding controversial about the issue of dreams when asked in class back in the days.

Truthfully speaking, medical science has not been able to explore this aspect of life real good.

Dreams are a way of the physical man reaching the meta-physical world which some people call the spiritual world. It's no longer a fiction to say nothing really just happens. Whatever happens in life is a function of what has happened in the meta-physical. This is why an individual dreams about a thing and after it has happened, it all seems to him or her like a Deja Vu. Dreams are a medium for certain spiritual truth to be revealed to man. Take for example, in the Bible Pharaoh had a dream and was disturbed and didn't understand what it meant. It took a man who understands the importance of dreams like Joseph to explain the true meaning of the dream and this saved the whole nation of Egypt at the time. Also the great King Solomon in the Holy Bible communicated with God one on one but this wasn't in the real world as the Bible records that the only one who saw God was Moses. It thus means that all the conversations King Solomon had with God was all in a dream, and it all became a reality as Solomon gained Wisdom, wealth and fame just as God promised him.

While it's true that some dreams are a reflection of our activities during the day, it's also true that a majority of our dreams are coded with a great deal of secrets waiting for us to explore.

What then shall we do if we dream? It therefore means we need to take our dreams serious because it just might have a strong message for the future without you knowing. I can actually attest to the fact that this is true. I have had so many dreams in the past that came to pass. One of these i regretted not taking it seriously, and the boy died just some days after my dream. The guilt still lives with me even till today.

In conclusion, every dream is important until proven otherwise. Take your dreams serious and don't be caught unawares.
