You are totally right. Probably next to Christmas, Valentine's Day is the most depressing time of the year. Since days of being children we were programmed to look for comfort in a partner at Valentine's Day. By making us pass out Valentine's Day cards to everyone. I know some of my teachers were just trying to teach love, but some of us kids could not help but to give the special card to that special girl, special boy.
My wife and I got rid of Valentine's Day 6 years ago. Instead I made of a day called "Wife's Day" (no seriously). We celebrate it on February 15th. And yes, there is a "Husband's Day", July 10th. But you want to know what day for lovers is the best? "Loy Krathong" in Thailand. It is a day on set on the full moon in November. Couples and families put candles in little boats then float them down the river. You are letting go of past sorrows, worries etc. Then you send lanterns into the sky as you look into a positive future. Would love to post all the details here but don't want to overflow your post lol. Thanks for this Kay. And much love!
