7-5-3 Code is a set of rules, which ideal person would follow. For basic introduction, read 5 Keys to Health chapter first.
As I said in 5 Keyes to Health, it is difficult to impossible to follow the code 100%. I begun the story from the most followable part, which are Keys to Health. I will continue the story in this spirit and in part 1, you will learn of courage, benevolence and politeness and how they are appliable today.
In utopian world, all of the points would be abided. It would lead to a great progress for human civilisation, and generally, better world.
Politeness
A Lesson from the Greatest Conqueror of All Times
Far, far in history, you might remember a person called Genkhis Khan. Well, it was a title, not a name, but he is known under this title. His real name was Temüjin.
This man was a leader of a small Mongolian tribe and increased his respect among peers to unite Mongolia against threats from outside. Later, he started to believe a god has chosen him to unite whole world under one flag.
How does this apply to politeness? Temüjin was not only a conqueror. One day, he sent a messenger to Persia. The purpose of his journey was to establish a trade route between Mongolia and Persia. Persians looked at the messenger from a height. They took the gifts and beheaded the messenger. Revenge from Genkhis Khan was more bloody and cruel than a modern person can imagine. A conquest begun.
Don't Make Your Own Genkhis Khan Angry!
Was it necessary to insult Mongolians? If they said no and left messenger return to Genkhis Khan, they would probably end up much better. Or they would have a choice to end up better. Persians opted to insult a man they didn't know from arrogance and the consequences appeared.
In a real world, you get in conversations with different people. If you reply with a taste of arrogance, unpoliteness, rudeness, they will get angry. I have never been in a sittuation, in which I would not be able to devise a polite way to reject, disagree or whatever was it I wanted. So it is possible to stay calm all the time! And beware that anyone can become your own lesser Temüjin.
Adolf Hitler could speak of a similar story, as his arts were heavily criticized by Jews. You never know how far a given person will go for a revenge.
Advantages of a Good Reputation
Previous subtitles gave you more clarity on why not to be rude. However, there are also major positive advantages in being polite. Give yourself a question: would you like to be perceived as a good person or a bad person?
I bet your answer is a good person. Being the politest of a gang can make you be chosen as an emissary to a boss. People will prefer to speak to you rather than to other less polite guys. We like other people to treat as with kindness.
When To Be Unpolite?
The idealistic rules of 7-5-3 Code have never been followable for all people. Even samurais were the bad guys, pillagers, pirates for some part of history (the bigger part). And there is a certain sittuation in which I do not recommend to stay polite.
So called tribal psychology influences our decisions based on what our friends choose to do. Even though, if you were isolated, you would probably decide otherwise.
Tribal psychology developed throughout the millenias of evolution, when it was better to stay with a tribe. Being expelled was a synonym to death.
In 21st century, tolerance for differences increases. But human is still a social being. And you still want to be part of a gang. This means you might want to use bad words in conversations with certain people. However, make sure, that these tips are fullfilled:
- You don't insult a certain person. And if you do, it is a person who will never know about it. But you don't insult a person.
- You avoid speaking badly of any ideology, opinion, which people, you surround yourself with, may agree with!
- You use insults only as fewer as possible.
After all, if your crowd requires you to say rude words, it is best to speak this way only about yourself. Make sure, you are not perceived as weak-minded with a low self-confidence.
Courage
Famous Examples
I consider Microsoft to be the most succeful company of our time. It has a full dominance at software industry. Apple can not challenge Windows with its prices. Nor can Linux with a lack of simple environment for less professional users.
Bill Gates, the founder, 's first company was a great failure. Thanks to his courage to start again with more experience (taken from the abortive attempt he made previously), he built Microsoft.
Albert Einstein, Niels Bohr and other famous scientists had problems at school. What if they had no courage to pursue their progressive ideas?
What if @greenmask9 had no courage to write an article..?

An Engine of Success
Courage is what drives you forward. Each failure bring you new experience. As long as you have courage, you will use it to push yourself towards your dream.
"No matter how small your steps are, it is important that you move!"
"Even a path long 1,000 miles has to begin with the first step." (Chinese proverb)
Once you fail, will you give up and make new experience useless for you? You should not. You can settle on the new experience and find better way. It requires some courage to continue. Further you go, bigger the obstacle are. Don't let them scare you of!
Deception of the Survivors
Courage is good. However, there are two natural fears, which are definitely not learnt as you age.
Everyone (healthy) was born afraid of heights. It's because falling down the skyscraper is a bit... deadly. 5 Meters is enough to cause an injury, which might result in death.
Another natural fear is of darkness. This fear is very misunderstood nowadays. Why are children afraid of being alone at room, when it is dark? There could be a wolf pack in the bush. Or a group of bandits. People see badly at night, thus they developed a natural fear for it.
You can see both examples used to safe us from dangers. The survivor's gene contained an information about the dangers of heights and dark. Fear protects us from anything bad.
If you are into business, you make an abortive attempt, you might fear starting again. You have heard of Gates's story. In reality, there are probably thousands of similar stories. Except, they lead to another abortive attempt, which some people could not afford. They didn't become famous for it though. And could have ended up on the streets.
Your courage has to be calculated. If circumstances are unclear or bad, wait a while. Take a time to discuss the matters with open-minded friend. Courage doesn't equal success. Couarage is just multiplier of either success or failure at this point.
Courageous and Stupid
I can not leave this article without mentioning Jon Snow's character of Game of Thrones. He fears nothing. But he takes so many risks that I am pretty surprised he is still alive. That thing with Littlefinger appearing in battle of Winterfell was a tremendous luck. You don't want to take such risks. And if you do, at least, prepare for it a bit. Equip your giant with a tree!
Benevolence
A benevolent person is always of help. He looks for opportunities to make other people comfortable even at his own expense. Such behaviour makes him liked quickly, which is why you want to be benevolent too.
There are definitely few things you can give up to improve your social reputation. As long as it comes with advantages for you in a long run, and you will have a use for these advantages, I recommend you to do so.
Reminder from politeness: you never know, who you may insult. As well as that, you never know, who you might get favor of. What if the one you agreed to help with coloring the house instead of watching TV, is the one who wins a lottery?
Basicly, it is same like politeness, but this time you focus on being a good guy instead of not being a bad guy.
However, you need to stand for yourself. Of course you can help your friend. If it is at the expense of watching television, you may want to help. If the expense is something far more important for you like an opportunity to invite a girl you always wanted, don't do so. You need to preserve a room for your own personality and respect. Friends will have to understand. Or you have to make new friends.
