My first experience with death was when my twin sister Sandy died of pneumonia at two.
I was 5 and 6 with pneumonia had a temperature of 104 each time. Cant find the Santa Clause pictures in the childrens hospital.
My mother still talks about it at Christmas time, how she almost lost me like Sandy, the doctors had said I was not going to make it and my mother refused to give me to them and held me tight and cried and prayed for me to recover.
I am thankful for my mother not giving up on me.
I constantly think of Sandy.
