Today I want to talk about my favorite Book: “The Little Prince”. It is famous enough that there even is an Indonesian version of it: “Pangeran Kecil”. I spent my morning reading it today.

I cannot really describe what it is that fascinates me and many people worldwide about this book. It is just so inspiring and makes me see the world with open eyes and an open heart. It might seem like a children’s book at first, but it most certainly is meant for adults as well.

PS: Of course, my best friend guarded me while reading. She always does…

Now it’s your turn: Let me know what’s your favorite book, I always appreciate recommendations! I’m gonna go to work soon, greetings to all my Steemians!

Hari ini, aku mau ngobrol tentang buku favorit aku: “The Little Prince”.

PS: Tentu saja, aku dijaga sahabatku pas aku lagi baca. Dia selalu kaya gitu…

Sekarang giliran kalian: Kasih tahu aku, buku favorit kalian apa? Aku selalu menghargai rekomendasi! Aku mau pergi kerja sebentar lagi, salam untuk semua Steemians!

Thanks for asking, Okky. My favorite mystery novel is The Daughter of Time by Josephine Tey. My favorite science-fiction novel is Anathem by Neal Stephenson. Both of these novels are slow to get going. You'll need patience and faith in my judgment — and that of many others who rate these books at the top of their fields — to persist in reading them and reap the rewards. And rewards there are indeed. Few reading pleasures are as intense as these.

Bill Keller says of The Daughter of Time, "Perhaps the oddest and best mystery ever written. Police Inspector Grant, flat on his back in hospital, solves the historical mystery of Richard III and the Little Princes in the Tower."

As for Anathem, here is a YouTube trailer, made as if it were a movie instead of a long book:

wow, thank you for the recommendations, I think I will check later if they have "The daughter of Time" in here. Still have some books from friends to read first, though. thank you :-)

One of my favorite books as well! I read it many times during my life, and got different interpretations as I grew up. Definitely a piece of art!
