Some actions command one's loyalty

When I look at my life right now, I can say for certain that it is evidently better than just few years back. Not to say I am where I want to be in life but just making a comparison between the life I have now and what I used to have back then. It's still tough and I keep on going every day with assurance and faith in God that his promises will surely come to pass. He has been so faithful to me and every day I continue to experience his faithfulness.

In my short journey in life so far, I have encountered two categeries of people. There is this category of people who stand with you in the hard times, support you and your visions even when it makes no sense and success seems almost impossible. This group sticks out with you to the end. Then, there is the second group who only show up when results have been achieved. They just show up when everything is coo, the labour has been done, the struggle is over and they just show up to have a bite of the cake.

I always say, the people I value most in my life are not those I met up the mountain but those who stood with me in the valley and kept their eyes on me as I worked my way to the top. People who believed in me when I was nothing will forever have my respect and loyalty. Their actions have earned them that. As for the other second group, my loyalty will never lie with them. This is the same thinking I have towards people in relationships. A partner who will stick it out with you in the bad, hard days of struggle is one who truly cares about you and commands loyalty.

It is with this same mentality that I respect employers who take risks to hire and embrace talented people willing to learn and just want the opportunity to showcase the potentials in them. There are others who will see great talent but refuse to invest in it because they want an already made experienced worker. But mind you, when another company picks up someone with those talents and trains them, and they make it to the top of the chain, the very people who rejected them in the beginning now come throwing money around to steal to lure them into their fold.

I don't know about others but my loyalty and respect will always be with those who believe in me, and decide to invest in me. They are the ones that command my loyalty and I will forever remain indebted to such calibre of people. As a matter of fact, I hold them in such high esteem and I have not forgotten a single one of such people in my life. My dream one day is to visit their kindness and devotion with a kind gesture of my own. I will forever remain indebted to them.
