I am not going to mention Hive. Not sure who you are to even ask.
Let's keep in mind that I have been a part of Steem/Hive since 2016, with thousands of posts, including videos. I have interacted with people and posted quality content. So, why am I being asked now to verify myself? ...and who are you to ask? Perhaps if you identify yourself I will do the same. I am easy. My REAL name is Matthew Rosenquist. What is yours?
Tell me your real name and we can setup a zoom meeting where you can see who I am and I can see who you are. Super easy to validate each other, right? I am totally open to that.
Hello.
This is the verification confirmation:
https://hivewatchers.com/verifications?utf8=%E2%9C%93&verification%5Busername_search%5D=mrosenquist
@mrosenquist is legit.
The account was reported by someone because it was suspected of possible identity theft after the reporter discovered that the user likely created a fake engagement with self by using the alternative account.
The account "ultimus" does not comment on any other account.

Looks more like someone associated with buildteam than anything.
The voting however is sus.
I have spoken with @mrosenquist offchain, so I know he is him but I can't speak for his voting habits.
Hey @themarkymark, here was my response to the Hivewatchers person (odd that they don't want to give their real name but question mine!).
Not sure if this will get posted/deleted, as it appears they have locked my account in some way (was trying to make a post that I will be speaking later in the week in San Diego, but the 'Post' button is disabled).
"@Hivewatchers, not that it is any of your business, but that account is a family member. I have been trying for years to get all of them to be active, but most have dropped off and sadly aren't posting or commenting anymore. I can't even get my wife to like my posts (@mchavarriaot - I suppose you can ban her as well)!
Given how I am being treated (identity questioned, interrogated, demands for me to post specific content on my other sites, and wasting my time explaining myself), I am considering dropping off as well!"
So if you don't see me post anymore on Hive, you can let people and my followers know why.
Matthew Rosenquist (yes, I have always been the real one!)
No one can stop your ability to post. They can only remove rewards and potentially reputation. What you are seeing is likely a node issue or a transient network issue. I know api.hive.blog has had a few issues recently and may be related to your experience as it is the default node.
I personally use peaks.com as it is far more feature rich than hive.blog.
As for Hive Watchers, they will frequently try to verify people are who they say they are as plagiarism is very common where money is given so freely. The reward pool is a shared resource and what one person does affects every other stake holder in some way. It is not an easy job as it is so easy to prevent to be someone else to gain rewards and little can be done to truly know for sure.
Just to put things in perspective. I just happen to pass by and notice this interaction.

Thanks @themarkymark! Appreciated man!
Piss off asshats.
