Well done adjusting to such arduous lifestyle changes as floating in crystal waters with friends, BBQ's, wine and cheese ;)
I've only ever worked wit 2 Swiss people, but I can attest to this:
Sounds like the makings of a great endeavor to me. Good luck with your next endeavor, when is he/she due?
Haha, thanks for the comment!
It has been tough coping with the cheese and wine etc, but we try...
5 weeks to go!
I love rafting.... We use to go every week when I lived in Oregon. My bucket list includes rafting the Grand Canyon
I've done it a few times but never anywhere too extreme. Lots of options around here too
A very pleasant trip and the scenery is very beautiful!
For sure it was! Thanks for commenting!
Wow, I surely missed out the opportunity to visit Switzerland, although I had a brief few seconds in there when I was cycling around 1/3 of Lake Constance. lol.
It does look like a really nice place to visit, and next time if I ever do visit Europe again, I will know who to give advice as a local on how to go about in Switzerland. ;)

Plenty of time, it's not going anywhere!
Happy to advise anytime, thanks for commenting!
Cheers
I love Switzerland! In the past, whenever I had to go visit relatives in Italy, I would fly from Los Angeles into Zurich and take the train down into Italy through the Alps. So beautiful. I've spent time in Montreux for the Jazz Festival and camped by Lac Leman. So pretty!
Montreux and that whole area is beautiful. I have lots of pics from around there, maybe enough for a half-decent post...
Thanks for commenting!
Great! I hope you will include the Chateau de Chillon. As a vagabonding 17yr old hitchhiker, I marveled at that spot.
Have driven past it loads of times but never actually visited. If I ever get there will for sure take a few pics and write something!
Wow, the Aare river is so inviting. Any water from the Alps always look very drinkable. Disco in Aare would be such a cool thing. Cant wait...cant wait. See ya there buddy!
Any water from the Alps IS drinkable. lol... I had free water everywhere I went in Europe. (except 1 city)
Now i feel like i wanna drink alps water.
You will never feel the same!
Note: Bottled "Alps" water is NOTHING compared to the tap waters that is channeled from the Alps.
Leaves me with no choice but to fly there and taste their tap water 😂
Oh yeah it is amazing - you're welcome anytime!
Living overseas is an amazing experience that teach yoh lots of lessons and take through different adventure and stories. I lived myself in Australia for 5 years and still missing the beautiful old days until now. Are you there for work or study?
Very true - I also lived in Australia for a while - have just posted about it.
I work here now, too old to study...
Great! Where about in Australia have you lived? Good luck with wherever you do for a living mate. I'm glad to follow you for you coming posts :)
I lived in Perth
Cheers
Nice! Cool that you're an expat in Switzerland. I'm a US expat living in Panama. We have been here 5 months and really like it. It isn't a hard transition for me because I used to live in Mexico and already speak the language, but I think even my husband likes it here and the kids! Looks like a fun boat trip there. Funny that it's about to turn cold! I can only imagine. We live in the town of "Eternal Spring" because the temp is the same year round. Love that!! I'll follow you and see what other fun expat adventures you have. :)
Thanks for the comment and for following - returned
that looks nice. Actually I had my first swim at river Rhine this year. Nice 22 degree celsius.
That may well be the topic for a future post!
That looks like a blast- and the water can keep your beer cold for you!
The 'professionals' bring big barrels full of bottles of beer, tie them to their boats and then they float down without them taking up any boat space
Genius.
👍🏻 This is really nice
