Breed Responsibly - An Opinion on Abortion

in #life7 years ago (edited)

Abortion has always been an open discussion among countries, religion and the government.

From where I stand, based on the country I am from and the economical state of which I am forced to adapt, I would agree on abortion.

Why?
The Philippines doesn't stand on a golden land, filled with hopes and dreams.
I would like to go back to the most basic unit of society, the family.
In a country who has a promising future, these families are well-off. They can assure, if not a hundred percent, at least a better life for the future of the young.
But in a country like mine, families struggle to cope up with their everyday endeavors. Jobs are scarce and too many mouths to feed. And what do these people do? They depend on the government, they depend on it so much that they forget to have an initiative on their own. With too many mouths to feed and a family that keeps on growing, a woman should be given a choice. The choice of giving life to an unborn child or a choice to lessen the burden of a family who'se struggling everyday just to put a decent meal on their tables.

But I, too, see other reasons why abortion is not necessary. Any person or family who is financially capable and is willing to nourish a child, give a proper education, a comfortable home, a clear future will be a good candidate of raising an unborn child.

But if you already have so much mouths to feed, not giving them proper education and would prefer them to work on the sidewalks selling cigarettes etc, then you must act on it or soon, all of you will starve and you, again will blame the government.

Human preservation doesn't mean disregarding abortion to take its course. You stand in the present. what is breathing and what is alive - you must preserve.

Pro-Choice. I am so up for this. It is my body, my life, my decisions. Given the right to choose or decide what is best for my body and my life is the greatest thing ever given to a woman. I am stating this based on my stand, my capabilities and what I can be of in the future. But given the choice, I am, again, responsible for my own deeds.

Breed responsibly.

Breed responsibly, but take responsibility.

Mary is a 23 year old who is 3 months pregnant.

Jane is a 23 year old who is 3 months pregnant.

At 3 months and one day, Mary chose to have an abortion. She didn't want the inconvenience a child would bring.

At 3 months and one day, Jane was stabbed in the belly during a robbery and lost her child. Her attacker is convicted of murdering her child.

Both children died at 3 months and one day. What makes one murder and the other not? Mary didn't want her baby, if she had been the one stabbed on her way to the abortion, should the attacker be let off? After all, the baby would have been killed in another hour anyway.

A child is not a choice. My life, my body was your choice BEFORE you got pregnant. Now there are two lives and two bodies, one dependent on the other.

Thanks for your opinion. I appreciate it :)

I believe bringing a child when you don't have at least the rudimentary means for subsistence is a crime against that child. And abortion I think it's a hard problem to tackle. My mind seems to find compelling reasons for both sides.
And that makes me think that you shouldn't get yourself in the position to want abortion in the first place.
Just the thought of a child should be a huge responsibility. Not to mention the child itself, whether it is in a belly or outside...

When it

You're right, you shouldn't get yourself in the position to consider abortion.

Up until roughly 100 years ago the more kids you had the wealthier you were because you had more help to tend the land.

Now people consider killing their children because they can afford them? That speaks volumes for us as the human race.

And how many people who are willing to kill their child because they can't feed them have a pet or pets they feed?

a woman should be given a choice
there are several different types of birth control that work fairly well.
Tubal Ligations work VERY well...

None of which involve killing babies.

My greatest fear is to be pregnant but God made Adam and Eve to multiply. Even if I am afraid, time will come I'll make a baby soon. Abortion should not be legalized in the Philippines because it is a Christian country. Young people should be guided by parents not to kill innocent creation made by Him.

Tsk... Life.

There no such as accident pregnancy? Some chose to abort their baby for the reason that it was an accident.

Value life, no way for abortion.

I think you have the choice but if you don't the responsibility don't get pregnant in the first place
