We all make bad decisions. And the shitty thing is we wish it was easy, we wish there was a clear right and wrong and in this example, there is. You don't check your phone while driving, even if you're a good experienced driver.
But maybe you're not thinking clearly at that particular second? It could be a text from the one you love, the text you've been longing for all day and it's like your fix has finally arrived. Can you really blame an addict for wanting their fix?
And then, there are even murkier situation. It's so easy to see from the outside looking in, to judge which choice would've been the right one in a given situation. But you weren't in that situation.
And even if you were, you were you and I am me. And what drives us to choose is possibly very different.

Yeah, I hear you. It was just some random thoughts and besides other people's random shitty decisions about their own life rarely affect me. I make the decision to not let them do so. Can I blame someone for texting whilst driving? Yeah, it's irresponsible and I'll blame them every time because they're assholes.

We're all assholes. It's just a matter of who is looking.
You got that right.
