Whats "cool" is relative to the people you associate yourself with. In other words, if you enjoy learning but hang around people who think it's weird.. well, that makes you weird.
If you enjoy learning and hang around people who also enjoy learning.. well, that makes you cool.
It's relative and subjective, but more importantly, like attracts like.
Pursue your interests and your hobbies. Go do things that you like to do within your community and you are guaranteed to meet people who enjoy the same types of things (duh, that's why they're where you are).
Humans are pack animals, and our packs run in all kinds of different ways, with various types and interests. The key is to find yours.
It's not cool to be stupid. It's tragic to be stupid. I 1000% agree. Make it cool by finding the people who think it's cool.
