The life I grown up with that shape me who I am today. A story of Success.

in #life7 years ago (edited)

Every time I had my vacation from the seminary before, I used to help my parents in farming. Farming isn’t easy, you got to work under the heat of the sun or cold rain. This is how my parents raised me and this is how I learn about how difficult life is. There are times that crops won’t go well and sometimes seasons destroys the vegetation such as sudden typhoon or long drought.

Unfortunately, I am not rich and I did not come from a silver spoon, my growth was molded with strong assessment in life and at an early age I already know that indeed I am just a poor boy and I know that life is hard. I grow up in very challenging life but still I am very thankful I had those experiences because they help me build a solid principle in life. It helps me to become more determined in reaching my dreams and it helps me appreciate success in life.

It was my dream to finish college and to my surprise, with determination and hard work I was able to make it. I finished the long and struggling academic race in Philosophy. That was my first taste of Success, it was very sweet coming from all the twist and turns and sacrifices I finally breach the door of success. Throughout all the trials that I have beaten along my journey I learn to love and appreciate life. It’s amazing!

Yes! Life is really hard yet very rewarding. Indeed, giving up is not a beautiful thing, the beauty is in not giving up despite the odds and the pressing trials. It was an acid test of life yet I passed and completed the race.

Now, I am career man, helping my family and my siblings build up their own life. It’s good to think that I am now capable of helping them.

I still love farming and we have few farmers working in our farm today. And I used to visit in my province every now and then. It’s a relief seeing how I become successful in my own little way. And throughout my journey, I develop certain principles that always help me achieve my short term and long term goals in life.

HERE ARE SOME OF THE PRINCIPLES I LEARN IN LIFE

  1. Believe in GOD and believe in yourself and never settle for less, always go the extra mile.

  2. Have a strong positive mindset. Life is full of unexpected events and tragedies, Keep your thoughts strong and always stay on the positive side.

  3. Do not procrastinate. Time is constantly passing by and if you do not use your time wisely you may lose your dream or maybe its too late for you to reach them.

  4. Do not compare and do not compete yourself with others yet compete and compare with your own self. If you have done better today, do something more tomorrow.

  5. Take the Risk! But be careful. There is one essential aspects you need to be mindful when taking risk - you need to calculate and foresee all the possible outcome and then trust in your instinct. And when you do it, do not doubt yourself yet be aggressive that you can make it.

I hope in one way or another I have shared something worth reading. I wish you all best out there and thank for your support.

Thank you!
God Bless you all, See you on my next post.

We gain a lot in our experiences in life, be it in success and in failure. In success, we learn to appreciate how sweet it is to finally reap what we sow. And in failure, we learn to stand up again and face life with a stronger and brighter mindset. I'm so proud of you brother!!! ^^ I know how you've struggled for your family... <3 You're blessed!

And one of the most beautiful thing I admire the most are the people who've been there on my struggle and never abandoned me, those friends who were there when I stumbled down, those who opened their doors and welcomes me when I needed help.
