I used to go to Kenya every year at xmas for 3 weeks to a month and never felt threatened. Admittedly mine was a beach holiday primarily taking in a two day safari . I do miss Kenya but that is East Africa and once contemplated to buy and live there when I retire. Oddly enough I have never been to South Africa mainly for the problems you have stated. I had a guy who was a white South Afican who worked for me for 4 years and the stories just put me off completely. He said he had left a home because gangs would attack his residence so frequently it became impossible to live and he left without a penny. Personally in the UK we don't get much information what is happening but to live not knowing what is round the corner must be worrying.
We have been talking a lot and to me you are a lovely friend who always has kind words but I still do not know your name. Take Care

Hi Ian. My name is Yvette. We live in a lovely town on the coast. Beautiful peaceful area with a great seaview. I love this place. It is just lately that it has been hectic here. Crime rate has shot up suddenly. We do have regular patrols here and we have armed response. We also have guns and the precautions are in place. They apparently burn a cd to make people sleep deeply. Then they simply break in and take whatever they want. Sad what is happening and I am scared for my kids growning up here. I will motivate them to go and find jobs in safer countries. No future for them here anymore. I am just negative about everything now. Will soon feel better. Thanks for your concern my friend. Lovely to chat with you!😘
