Hi Zanolino,
Wonderful to meet a fellow surfer! It is currently 3-4 ft but should be 4-5 ft by Thursday. Light off shore winds every morning and often in the evening too. How's the weather and the surf for you?
Sounds good, but in Costa Rica that must be the standard...
Here on Curaçao it was really choppy and not worth surfing today. Last week we had some solid swell with a few days of overhead fun (quite rare in our part of the Caribbean)
Central America is definitely on the bucket list for some future surf trips for sure! Enjoy it, be sure to post some mouth watering waves for us!
“global weather forecast plus earthquake and severe storm forecasts” - how accurate are this forecatsts? I mean: is there anybody in this world able to really predict an earthquake? From my point of view, at least from what i use to get from the tv/radion (use to, couse I don’t even watch tv or leasen to radio or any other forecast) there are times when they can hardly get it right for a rain :) - earthquake forecast? Does someone knows if there whas - ever - an exact prediction for an earthquake?
Yes ... this not only from standard sources - Suspicious Observers are cutting edge for earthquake and space related weather - check their site for more detail!
I live in Witbank, South Africa. We have had some decent rain, but it is mostly sunny. Our geology teacher always said: "Sunny South Africa also means dry South Africa". Sadly, that is the truth, especially in the Cape provinces. The droughts are raging through the southernmost parts of South Africa. My sister, living in Cape Town, says that the drought is especially parching at the moment. They, a family of five, can only shower every third; they can only flush the toilet once a day. They wash dishes, etc. with "grey water". There is absolutely no chance for them to do any gardening whatsoever. Apparently gardens in those areas look like mini deserts.
Is it nature punishing us? Is it God punishing us? Or is it just natural global warming? Whatever it is, it is a painful situation.
Hello Minnaloushe,
Thank you so much for that update. Our thoughts are with you all in South Arica. Drought is a terrible thing. We must all plant more trees to catch the rain that does fall and care more for our environment. Please check out http://isha.sadhguru.org/rally-for-rivers/ to learn how lifesaving trees can be!
I absolutely agree with you. Here is a photograph that I took very recently, where rain fell copiously in one of our very primitive rural areas. It was painful to see how the water just rolled away, where nothing could catch the water. Trees, trees, trees!

It is not a good photo, because I had to take it through the window glass (hijack hotspot), but I think you can see what I mean.
