i respect this man.Fear is a veil, an illusion, created by the mind, by our old memories. It prevents us from thinking with discernment. Thinking about fear prevents us from thinking about something else. It paralyzes the mind. It is a lure created by the mind,
Hello mageofor,
Yes ... you are totally right - how we perceive life is entirely up to each of us! We simply have to learn how to be in control of our own mind and body. Optimists are proven to be more healthy and always enjoy the ride of life more :D
impersonal approach. This sadhu leads people to the dead end . Unless one gives knowledge about Supreme Lord nature, he can't posses a position of guru. And at that case we never solve the main problems of life: birth, disease, death
Hello Mike,
I ask you to watch more Sadhguru videos on youtube and his website before passing a judgment. He does a quite phenomenal amount of work ... providing teachers for 10,000 schools around India - He is the Guinness book of records holder for most trees planted with project greenhands - 114 million to be planted to regreen his entire state. And Rally for rivers - saving the great rivers of india. And he travels the world spreading much peace and introducing world leaders to yoga!
Thank you for your comment - And pleased to meet you :D
Thank you for your warm words Icedrum. I see you are intelligent and polite man. Indeed I watched enough Sadhguru's videos and no objection on his activity , moreover as you mentioned he did a great job. But please try to get my point. Activity in sattva is not about Lord . There is a difference. Krsna tells in Bhagavad Gita : Bg 6.47 — And of all yogīs, the one with great faith who always abides in Me, thinks of Me within himself and renders transcendental loving service to Me – he is the most intimately united with Me in yoga and is the highest of all. That is My opinion. < So to treat people, to build hospitals- such kind of activity doesn't help us to get free from this world( place of miseries and death) . So guru who doesn't speak about a Person who create everything can't help anybody. There is a spiritual world, with great varieties of living beings and in the center is God in different manifestations. This is real life and real goal of the life- to get that place. At least vedic scriptures are speaks about it . By the way this guru from vedic tradition, but he doesn't speak about Personality of Godhead , whom the Vedas about . So he use this knowledge , but never speaks about a possessor of this knowledge.
Bg 15.15 — I am seated in everyone’s heart, and from Me come remembrance, knowledge and forgetfulness. By all the Vedas, I am to be known. Indeed, I am the compiler of Vedānta, and I am the knower of the Vedas.
Now, he seems to mention "normal mindset", as if that had any relevance in terms of genuine complexity, while also seeming to be "compassionate" or/and "pitying" of those who are supposedly mentally ill. However, the only actual mental illnesses are ignorance and stupidity. Everything else is a different perception, of varying complexities or/and accuracies.
Being "normal" has no relevance, in terms of discerning one's abilities. In a society that revolves around ignorance, then ignorance will be the norm and intelligence will be "abnormal". Likewise, in a collective that values intelligence, ignorance will be "abnormal".
So, let's look at the quality of something more than we do statistics. That said, he did make some points I'd see as pertinent.
Pleased to meet you rieth,
