Yes you are quite correct, there can indeed be extensive radio interference plus internet and power outages. We lost internet and 3G connection for a few hrs and and it has been very patchy for the last 24hrs here in Costa Rica.
There are no rational explanations in the current physics to the fundamental cause that trigger earthquake. More important current science cannot ... I would like to know why.
